Seedpeople
''Seedpeople'' is a 1992 film, executive produced by Charles Band (who originated the basic plot) and directed by Peter Manoogian. It stars Sam Hennings, Dane Witherspoon, Anne Betancourt and Andrea Roth. Plot Seed pods from space land in the area surrounding a small rural town, and the seeds become alien creatures that contaminate the human population in the area, turning people into unwilling seed pods that in turn hatch into even more monsters. Dane Witherspoon
Dane Witherspoon (December 27, 1957 – March 29, 2014) was an American actor who appeared in daytime TV soap operas ''Santa Barbara (TV series), Santa Barbara'' as Joe Perkins in 1984, and in ''Capitol (TV series), Capitol'' as Tyler McCandless from 1985 to 1986. Early life and career At age 19, he was the youngest student ever accepted by the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco, California, appearing in productions from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams. He performed one season at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. After getting his acting degree from ACT, Witherspoon went to Hollywood where he landed small roles in ''The Waltons'' and ''Eight Is Enough''. Bernard Kates
Bernard Kates (December 26, 1922 – February 2, 2010) was an American actor on television, in movies and on the stage. Serving as a bomber pilot during World War II, Kates earned an Air Medal with three clusters and a Distinguished Flying Cross. A life member of The Actors Studio, Kates's film appearances include ''Judgment at Nuremberg'' (as Max Perkins), ''The Babe'', and ''The Phantom''. One of his many television roles was as Sigmund Freud in the '' Star Trek: The Next Generation'' episode " Phantasms". Charles Band
Charles Robert Band (born December 27, 1951) is an American film producer and director, known for his work on horror comedy movies. Career Band entered film production in the 1970s with Charles Band Productions. Dissatisfied with distributors' handling of his movies, he formed Empire Pictures in 1983. At its height, Empire would release an average of two films a month, one theatrically and one on home video. Movies released by Empire included ''Ghoulies'' and ''Ghoulies II'', and the cult classic ''Re-Animator''. Empire folded in 1988, due to financial difficulties. Band would found Full Moon Productions the same year. Full Moon releases include the ''Puppet Master'' and ''Subspecies'' series.
