Sedgwick, Wisconsin
Sanborn is a town in Ashland County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,331 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated communities of Bayfront, Birch, Birch Hill, Diaperville, Franks Field, New Odanah, Odanah, and Sedgwick are located in the town. Long Island, one of the Apostle Islands, is also a part of the town. The entire town is part of the Bad River Reservation of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians. History The town was created on March 23, 1899, and supposedly named after Senator Albert W. Sanborn, a member of the Wisconsin State Senate, who held a large area of land in the vicinity. Geography Sanborn is located in northern Ashland County, along the shore of Lake Superior. Sedgwick station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station at 253 East Mount Pleasant Avenue between Sprague and Devon Streets in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The old station building was built in 1882 with Furness & Evans as the architect, according to the Philadelphia Architects and Buildings project but was damaged in an arson fire around 1980 and demolished. The current station facility consists of low level platforms with open shelters. A walkway under the tracks was sealed off due to criminal activity. Sedgwick Avenue is a major street in the Bronx, New York City. It runs roughly parallel to Jerome Avenue, the Major Deegan Expressway, and University Avenue. Sedgwick is a town in Hancock County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,202 at the 2020 census. The town includes the village of ''Sargentville''. The countryside around Sedgwick is a haven for birdwatchers, as well as an out-of-the-way tourist stop with several bed and breakfast locations. History It was one of six contiguous townships, each six miles square, granted by Massachusetts in 1761 to David Marsh and 359 others.
