Security Council Of Armenia
The Security Council of Armenia ( hy, Անվտանգության խորհուրդ, translit=Hayastani Anvtangut’yan khorhurd) is the highest decision-making defence and law enforcement body in the Republic of Armenia. The offices of the Security Council is located on 24 Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan. History On 22 November 1991, President Levon Ter-Petrosyan appointed Ashot Manucharyan as Senior Advisor to the President on national security. On 13 December 1991, the National Security Council (NSC) attached to the Presidency was founded by decree. Following the 2005 constitutional amendments, article 55 of the Constitution of Armenia foresaw the formation of the Armenian NSC attached to the Presidency and having a consultative status. Cytarabine, also known as cytosine arabinoside (ara-C), is a chemotherapy medication used to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL), chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML), and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It is given by injection into a vein, under the skin, or into the cerebrospinal fluid. There is a liposomal formulation for which there is tentative evidence of better outcomes in lymphoma involving the meninges. Common side effects include bone marrow suppression, vomiting, diarrhea, liver problems, rash, ulcer formation in the mouth, and bleeding. Other serious side effects include loss of consciousness, lung disease, and allergic reactions. Use during pregnancy may harm the baby. Cytarabine is in the antimetabolite and nucleoside analog families of medication. It works by blocking the function of DNA polymerase. Artak Matevosi Davtyan (Armenian: Արտակ Մաթևոսի Դավթյան; born March 31, 1970) is an Armenian Lieutenant General who served as the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces from May 2018 to June 2020 and again from March 2021 to February 2022. Early life and military service Artak Davtyan was born in 1970 in the village of Bambakashat, in the Hoktemberyan region (now located in Armavir province) of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic. He took part in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War from 1988 to 1992, quickly rising through the ranks of the newly formed Armenian Army. Starting in 1992, Davtyan began to serve as either the commander or deputy commander of various military units. During that same time, he was also enrolled in military academies in Russia. Vahe Ghazaryan
Vahe Haykazuni ( hy, Վահէ Հայկազունի; 351 BC – 331 BC), also known simply as Vahe, was a king of Armenia. He was the last offspring of the Hayk Dynasty. According to Moses of Khoren, he was an ally of Darius III, King of Persia. He revolted against Alexander the Great but was killed in battle. Because of his bravery, his name Vahe, became synonymous for the Armenians as a true warrior and a true king. Many Armenians are named Vahe (or Vahé) after him, Vahe being a common given name. With his death, the Armenian Haykazuni dynasty came to an end and Armenia was subjected to 10 years of Macedonian rule. The Police of the Republic of Armenia () is the national police of Armenia. The acting head is Vahe Ghazaryan, in office since 8 June 2020. History Soviet era The first police service of Armenia was formed in 1918, under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the First Republic of Armenia. On April 21, 1920, a ''Militia'' was formed in Yerevan based on the Soviet model. It was later renamed to the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs of the Armenian SSR or the NKVD of the Armenian SSR, which was the Armenian subordinate to the NKVD headquarters in Moscow. In 1929, the NKVD of the Armenian SSR was dissolved and was reestablished in July 1934 as a reorganized political department. Suren Rafiki Papikyan (; born 26 April 1986) is an Armenian politician currently serving as the Minister of Defense of Armenia. He formerly served as minister of territorial administration and infrastructure and briefy as deputy prime minister. He is also chairman of the board of the ruling Civil Contract Party. Biography Suren Papikyan was born on 26 April 1986, in the town of Stepanavan, now in the Lori Province of Armenia. He graduated from Stepanavan College No. 1 and was accepted to the Faculty of History of Yerevan State University in 2003. Papikyan was called up for service in the Armenian Armed Forces while attending university. While serving in the military, Papikyan was sentenced to two years and three months imprisonment, reportedly due to a violent incident with a commanding officer, but was released about a year later in a general amnesty.
