Security Categories In India
In India, security details are provided to some high-risk individuals by the police and local government. Depending on the threat perception to the person, the category is divided into six tiers: SPG, Z+ (highest level), Z, Y+, Y and X. A security detail, often known as a PSD (protective services detail, personal security detachment, personal security detail) or PPD (personal protection detail), is a protective team assigned to protect the personal security of an individual or group. PSDs can be made up of multiple federal and state government organisations, military personnel, law enforcement agents and/or private security contractors or private military contractors. U.S. Marine Corps In the U.S. Marine Corps, an individual's security team is called a "personal security detachment" and is assigned to the Personal Security Company. Private security PSD teams are often made up of private security personnel. Para (Special Forces)
Para (Special Forces), also known as Para SF, are a group of special forces battalions of the Parachute Regiment in the Indian Army. These units specialize in various roles including hostage rescue, counter-terrorism, unconventional warfare, special reconnaissance, foreign internal defence, counter-proliferation, counter-insurgency, seek and destroy and personnel recovery. The unit's heritage stems from World War II, with the creation of the 50th Parachute Brigade in October 1941 under the British Indian Army. 9 Para SF was raised in 1966 as 9th Parachute Commando Battalion as part of the Parachute Regiment and is the oldest among the fifteen Para SF units of the Indian Army. The president of India ( IAST: ) is the head of state of the Republic of India.
