The Mexican Secretariat of Public Security or Secretariat of Public Safety, also known as Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Public Safety ( es, Secretaría de Seguridad Pública, ''SSP''), was the federal ministry of the Mexican Executive CabinetOrganic Law of the Federal Public Administration, Article 26 that aimed to preserve freedom, order, and public peace and safeguard the integrity and rights of the people. Andrés Manuel López Obrador (; born 13 November 1953), also known by his initials AMLO, is a Mexican politician who has been serving as the 65th president of Mexico since 1 December 2018.
