Secondary Music School in Tuzla ( bs, Srednja muzička škola Tuzla) is a Public Institution music school in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, established in 1957. History Foundation and early years Tuzla Music School was founded by the decision of the People's Committee of the Municipality of Tuzla on February 22, 1957. The founders were Čestmír Mirko Dušek and Dubravko Jurić. Recent history In 2017, the school changed its name to High School of Music Čestmir Mirko Dušek Tuzla. Today the school is attended by about 120 students, studying: piano, accordion, flute, violin, guitar, and clarinet. The school also operates a mixed choir and an accordion orchestra. Dženana Šehanović
Dženana Šehanović (born 23 March 1991) is a Bosnian piano professor and a professional pianist. She holds a master's degree in piano performance. Education She studied music in Germany, Austria, Croatia, and her home-country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the age of fourteen, she was the youngest ever student to enter the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb, Croatia. Her first year of study was completed in the class of professors George Stanetti and Karl-Heinz Kammerling. Vladimir Valjarević (born 1973, Tuzla, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia), is a Serbian/American concert pianist and pedagogue, currently residing in New York City, United States. Career Valjarevic is on the piano faculty at the Mannes School of Music and Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Nihad Hrustanbegović (born 7 June 1973) is a Bosnian-Dutch composer, accordionist and pianist from Amsterdam. He is considered to be one of the most prominent and successful solo concert accordion artists from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Netherlands. Denis Azabagić (born 1972 in Tuzla, Yugoslavia) is a Bosnian classical guitarist. Denis Azabagić married to Eugenia Moliner (flutist). Musical background In 1993, at the age of 20, he became the youngest winner of one of the most prestigious international guitar competitions Jacinto Guerrero and Inocencio Guerrero, in Madrid, Spain . Between 1992 and 1999, Azabagić won twenty-four prizes in international competitions, of which eleven were first prizes including in 1996 and Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition in 1998.
