Second Wescot-Williams Cabinet
The second Wescot-Williams cabinet was the second Cabinet of Sint Maarten installed following the achievement of constituent country status of Sint Maarten within the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 10 October 2010. The cabinet was a coalition between the National Alliance and the Democratic Party, the latter party delivering the Prime Minister despite being the junior partner in the coalition. The cabinet was formed following the collapse of the first Wescot-Williams cabinet in April 2012, when United Peoples faction leader Romain Laville left his party and became an independent member of parliament. A coalition agreement between the National Alliance and the Democratic Party and I3, consisting of independent MPs Frans Richardson, Patrick Illidge and Romain Laville, was signed on 11 May 2012, and a new cabinet was installed on 21 May 2012. Sarah Wescot-Williams
Sarah A. Wescot-Williams (born 8 April 1956) is the leader of the Democratic Party Sint Maarten, Democratic Party of Sint Maarten and the first Prime Minister of Sint Maarten. Even though her party only managed to secure two seats in the 2010 Sint Maarten general election, Sint Maarten general election of 2010, she was selected as Prime Minister in the coalition agreement between United People and the Democratic Party. Following the collapse of the first Wescot-Williams cabinet in April 2012, she was again designated Prime Minister in the second Wescot-Williams cabinet installed on 21 May 2012. On 19 December 2014 Wescot-Williams was succeeded as prime minister by Marcel Gumbs. Henrietta Doran-York (born 30 August 1962) is a politician from Sint Maarten. She was Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten from 19 November 2015 until 15 January 2018. She previously served as Deputy Minister Plenipotentiary. Doran-York is a member of the National Alliance party, and has run in several elections. Doran-York had a career in the prison system of Sint Maarten, then under control of the Netherlands Antilles. She eventually became head supervisor. In the 2010 Netherlands Antilles general election, Doran-York obtained a seat. In 2011 she became a manager at the Sint Maarten Ministry of Justice. Mathias Sinclair Voges ( Philipsburg, 23 February 1943) is a politician and historian from Sint Maarten, who held the office of Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten from 2010 till 2014. The Minister Plenipotentiary of Sint Maarten ( nl, Gevolmachtigd Minister van Sint Maarten) represents the constituent country of Sint Maarten in the Council of Ministers of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The current Minister Plenipotentiary is Rene Violenus. A significant difference between the Netherlands Ministers and the Ministers Plenipotentiary is that the former Ministers are accountable for their politics and policies to the Dutch parliament. Early life and education Silveria Elfrieda Jacobs was born on 31 July 1968 on Aruba to Nadia Willemsberg. As a child, Jacobs attended the Leonald Conner School and Milton Peters College on Sint Maarten.
