Second Prayut Cabinet
The Second Prayut cabinet, formally known as the 62nd Council of Ministers (คณะรัฐมนตรีไทย คณะที่ 62), was formed on 10 July 2019 after the March 2019 Thai general election. The coalition is led by Palang Pracharath Party which nominated Prayut Chan-o-cha, who was then serving as Prime Minister of Thailand through the National Council for Peace and Order, as its candidate for prime minister. Prayut was elected as prime minister on 5 June 2019 and received the appointment from the royal command on 9 June 2019. The cabinet was officially sworn into office by King Rama X Vajiralongkorn ( th, วชิราลงกรณ; , ; born 28 July 1952) is the King of Thailand. Prayut Chan-o-cha
Prayut Chan-o-cha (sometimes spelled Prayuth Chan-ocha; th, ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา, ; born 21 March 1954) is a Thai politician and retired Royal Thai Army, army officer who has served as the Prime Minister of Thailand since he seized power in a military coup in 2014. He is concurrently the List of Defence Ministers of Thailand, Minister of Defence, a position he has held in his own government since 2019. Prayut served as List of commanders-in-chief of the Royal Thai Army, Commander in Chief of Royal Thai Army from 2010 to 2014 and led the 2014 Thai coup d'état which installed the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), the military junta which governed Thailand between 22 May 2014 and 10 July 2019. The Chart Pattana Kla Party ( th, พรรคชาติพัฒนากล้า) is a Thai political party. In 2007 Thai general election, the chairman of the party is Wannarat Channukul. His brother-in-law, the party's "chief advisor" Suwat Liptapanlop is however considered its ''de facto'' leader. History It was founded under the name of ''Ruam Jai Thai Chart Pattana'' ("Thais United National Development Party") as a merger of Thais United and the former National Development Party in September 2007. Thai Civilized Party ( th, พรรคไทยศรีวิไลย์) is a minor political party in Thailand. It was registered on 2 March 2018. Party founders include Mongkolkit Suksintharanon, secretary-general of the National Anti-Corruption Network (an anti-corruption NGO), and social media personality Natchapol Supattana or "Mark Pitbull". On 10 June 2018, the party announced a resolution naming Mongkolkit as party leader and Natchapol as deputy leader, and named anti-corruption, government reform, and social justice as its three core policies. New Palangdharma Party
New Palangdharma Party (NPD, , พธม., ) is a political party in Thailand that was launched in March 2018 by former secretary-general of the original Palang Dharma party, Ravee Maschamadol, and other members of now defunct party, though its founder, Chamlong Srimuang did not join, citing his retirement from politics. The party was also joined by many former members of Mahachon Party and New Aspiration Party. The party describes its ideology as "Moral Democracy". In 2019 general elections, the party stood in 134 constituencies and 24 party-list candidates with only one elected to the house.
