Second Iemma Ministry
The Iemma ministry (2007–08) or Second Iemma ministry is the 90th ministry of the New South Wales Government, Government of New South Wales, and was led by the 40th Premier of New South Wales, Premier Morris Iemma. It was the second and subsequent of two occasions when Iemma was Premier. The Second Iemma Australian Labor Party (New South Wales Branch), Labor ministry was formed following the 2007 New South Wales state election, 2007 state election where the Iemma government was re-elected. This ministry covers the period from 2 April 2007 until 5 September 2008, when the Rees ministry was sworn in after Nathan Rees succeeded Iemma as Premier in a Labor caucus revolt on 5 September 2008. Parliament Of New South Wales
The Parliament of New South Wales is a bicameral legislature in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), consisting of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly (lower house) and the New South Wales Legislative Council (upper house). Verity Firth
Verity Helen Firth (born 28 August 1973) is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Social Justice and Inclusion) at the University of Technology Sydney. She was the chief executive officer of the Public Education Foundation in Australia and is a former politician. Philip Christian Koperberg (born 28 April 1943), is the Chairman of the New South Wales Emergency Management Committee, responsible for advising the New South Wales government on emergency response strategies, since 2011. Koperberg is a former Australian politician, was the New South Wales Minister for Climate Change, Environment and Water between 2007 and 2008; and was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, representing the electorate of the Blue Mountains for the Labor Party between 2007– 2011. Graham James West (born 21 September 1973), a former Australian politician, was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Campbelltown between 2001 and 2011 for the Labor Party. John Hatzistergos (born 20 August 1960) is an Australian judge of the District Court of New South Wales. He is a former politician who was a member of the New South Wales Legislative Council representing the Labor Party between 1999 and 2011, and a minister in various Labor governments. Barbara Mazzel Anne Perry (born 6 April 1964) is an Australian former politician, representing Auburn for the Labor Party in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 2001 to 2015. Perry was the first woman of Lebanese origin to be elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. Minister For Western Sydney
The Minister for Western Sydney is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for the Greater Western Sydney, Australia. It was first established in 1997 in the second Carr ministry as an assistant minister, before becoming a separate portfolio in the third Carr ministry. The portfolio was only intermittently responsible for any legislation, nor tasked with the management of a department. The region is not defined, although generally consistent with Greater Western Sydney the portfolio has on occasion been responsible for areas outside that region, such as the Sydney Olympic Park. In the second Perrottet ministry the portfolio is responsible for the Western Parkland City Authority, which includes the region around the Western Sydney Airport.
