Minister For Western Sydney
The Minister for Western Sydney is a minister in the New South Wales Government with responsibility for the Greater Western Sydney, Australia. It was first established in 1997 in the second Carr ministry as an assistant minister, before becoming a separate portfolio in the third Carr ministry. The portfolio was only intermittently responsible for any legislation, nor tasked with the management of a department. The region is not defined, although generally consistent with Greater Western Sydney the portfolio has on occasion been responsible for areas outside that region, such as the Sydney Olympic Park. In the second Perrottet ministry the portfolio is responsible for the Western Parkland City Authority, which includes the region around the Western Sydney Airport. David Elliott (politician)
David Andrew Elliott (born 11 June 1970) is an Australian politician. Elliott has served as the New South Wales Minister for Transport and the Minister for Veterans in the Perrottet ministry since 21 December 2021. Elliott is a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly representing Baulkham Hills for the Liberal Party since 2011. Elliott served as the Minister for Police and Emergency Services between April 2019 and December 2021 in the second Berejiklian ministry and the first arrangement of the Perrottet ministry. Elliott was Minister for Counter Terrorism from January 2017 until March 2019 and Minister for Corrections and Minister for Veterans Affairs from April 2015 until March 2019 in the first Berejiklian ministry. Second Perrottet Ministry
The Second Perrottet ministry or Second Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 99th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed on 21 December 2021 from a reshuffle, the first time since Perrottet and Paul Toole were elected as Liberal Party leader and National Party leader respectively in October 2021. The Parliament of New South Wales considers the reshuffled ministry to be a separate and new ministry from the previous Perrottet ministry before the reshuffle. First Perrottet Ministry
The First Perrottet ministry or First Perrottet–Toole ministry is the 98th ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and is led by Dominic Perrottet, the state's 46th Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the resignation of the previous Premier, Gladys Berejiklian and the election of Perrottet as leader of the Liberal Party on 5 October 2021. Stuart Ayres was elected as deputy party leader. Separate to the Liberal Party leadership election, the National Party also had its own leadership election on 6 October 2021, following the resignation of John Barilaro as party leader, who said it was "the right time for me to hand the reins over". Paul Toole was elected as National Party leader and subsequently replaced Barilaro as Deputy Premier of New South Wales. O'Farrell Ministry
The O'Farrell ministry was the 93rd ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by Barry O'Farrell, the state's 43rd Premier. The Liberal–National coalition ministry was formed following the defeat of the Keneally-led Labor government at the 2011 election. It was the first coalition ministry since the Greiner- Fahey-led coalition ministries of the late 1980s and early 1990s. On 28 March 2011, O'Farrell and Nationals leader Andrew Stoner were sworn in by Governor Marie Bashir, as Premier and Deputy Premier respectively at a ceremony held in the office of the Chief Secretary of New South Wales. Although the Coalition's landslide victory was beyond doubt, counting was still underway in a few seats. The Keneally ministry is the 92nd ministry of the Government of New South Wales, and was led by the 42nd Premier Kristina Keneally. The ministry was formed following a caucus motion to elect a new Leader of the Australian Labor Party in New South Wales, where Keneally defeated her party colleague, the 41st Premier, Nathan Rees. Keneally led the first two-woman executive (Premier and Deputy Premier) in Australian history. The ministry was sworn in on 8 December 2009 at Government House by the Governor of New South Wales Marie Bashir.
