Second Coming (comics)
X-Men: Second Coming is a crossover storyline published by Marvel Comics that runs through most of the X-Men comic books from March to July 2010. Publication history Second Coming is the final part of a trilogy of stories that began with "Messiah Complex" and continued in "Messiah War." Intended as a conclusion to Cable's efforts to save Hope from Bishop, who has hunted the so-called Mutant Messiah since her birth, the series also builds on the "Utopia", "Nation X" and "Necrosha" storylines of 2009 in the X-Men books. The story center's on the return of Cable and Hope Summers to the present day and Bastion's final campaign to destroy the X-Men. Mike Carey (writer)
Mike Carey (born 1959), also known by his pen name M. R. Carey, is a British writer of comic books, novels and films, whose credits include the long-running '' The Sandman'' spin-off series ''Lucifer'', a three-year stint on ''Hellblazer'', as well as his creator-owned titles '' Crossing Midnight'' and '' The Unwritten'' for DC Comics' Vertigo imprint, a lengthy run on Marvel's ''X-Men'', the 2014 novel '' The Girl with All the Gifts'' and its 2016 film adaptation. Bishop (comics)
Lucas Bishop is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, particularly titles associated with the X-Men. He first appears as a member of Xavier's Security Enforcers (XSE), a mutant police force from a dystopian future of the Marvel Universe. He travels to the 20th century and joins the X-Men, a team he knew only as legends. Bishop experiences difficulty adjusting to the norms of the time period. Messiah Complex
A messiah complex (Christ complex or savior complex) is a state of mind in which an individual holds a belief that they are destined to become a savior today or in the near future. The term can also refer to a state of mind in which an individual believes that they are responsible for saving or assisting others. Religious delusion The term "messiah complex" is not addressed in the ''Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders'' (DSM), as it is not a clinical term nor diagnosable disorder. Greg Land
Greg Land (born 1956) is an American comic book artist, best known for his work on books such as ''Uncanny X-Men'', ''Birds of Prey'', and ''Fantastic Four''. Career Greg Land first got a job with an independent publisher as the artist for ''StormQuest'' after advertising himself at a Mid-Ohio Con comic convention. After that, he was hired by DC Comics in 1999 to finish the covers for ''Birds of Prey'', based on the sketches of Brian Stelfreeze. He also had runs as interior penciler on both ''Birds of Prey'' and ''Nightwing''. Later, Land began to work at CrossGen Comics on '' Sojourn''.
