Captain Amarinder Singh's second cabinet started from March 2017. Amarinder Singh is the leader of INC was sworn in the Chief Ministers of Punjab on 16 March 2017. His ministry had 17 Cabinet ministers including the Chief Minister as well as two women. The following is the list of ministers with their portfolios in the Government of Punjab. Captain Amarinder Singh resigned from the post of Chief Ministers of Punjab after claiming that he felt humiliated three times by the Congress leadership in the past two months. Charanjit Singh Channi
Charanjit Singh Channi is an Indian politician who served as the 16th Chief Minister of Punjab. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. He was also Minister of Technical Education and Training in Second Amarinder Singh ministry and leader of the opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly. He was the first Dalit to become the CM of Punjab. Early life and education Channi was born in the village of Makrauna Kalan, Punjab. He studied law at Panjab University and has an MBA from PTU Jalandhar. He belongs to the Ramdasia Sikh community. Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi (born 9 January 1954) is an Indian Politician and a Bharatiya Janata Party Leader in Punjab and a former International Shooter. Sodhi was earlier in Congress Party and has been a Member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Guru Har Sahai in Firozpur district of Punjab since 2002. Political career He became a member of the Youth Congress in 1976. He had been elected to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2017 consecutively.
