Victor Mollet
Victor Jean-Baptiste Mollet (22 August 1860 – 17 December 1944), usually simply Victor Mollet, was a French architect based in Lille. He was the first architect from the Nord–Pas-de-Calais region to receive a degree from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and became one of the more prominent exponents of regionalist architecture in northern France at the turn of the twentieth century. Life and career Mollet matriculated first to the local Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lille, where he was a student of Alfred Newnham, before entering the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1884. He studied with Louis-Jules André, and then his successor Victor Laloux, receiving his degree (''diplôme'') on 22 January 1891. The Métropole Européenne de Lille (MEL; en, "European Metropolis of Lille") is the ''métropole'', an intercommunal structure, composed by a network of big cities (Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing, Villeneuve d'Ascq, Armentières etc.) whose major city is the city of Lille. It is located in the Nord department, in the Hauts-de-France region, northern France – bordering both the Flemish and Walloon regions of Belgium. Larkhall ( sco, Larkhauch, gd, Taigh na h-Uiseig) is a town in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, around southeast of Glasgow. It is twinned with Seclin in northern France. Larkhall sits on high ground between the River Clyde to the East and the Avon Water to the West. Larkhall sits on the edge of the scenic Clyde valley and is a commuter town for Glasgow. Apolda () is a town in central Thuringia, Germany, the capital of the Weimarer Land district. It is situated in the center of the triangle Weimar–Jena–Naumburg near the river Ilm, c. east by north from Weimar. Apolda station lies on the Halle–Bebra railway, which is part of the main line from Berlin to Frankfurt. History Apolda was first mentioned in 1119.
