Sean Russell (born 27 May 2002) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a er or for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League (NRL). Background Russell was born in Windsor, New South Wales, Australia. He is of Finnish descent. He played his junior rugby league for the Rouse Hill Rhinos. Russell played fullback for Patrician Brothers Blacktown in their NRL Schoolboy final, scoring a try, playing alongside fellow Eels teammates Jakob Arthur and Samuel Loizou. Playing career 2021 In round 15 of the 2021 NRL season, Russell made his first grade debut for Parramatta against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, scoring two tries in a 36-10 victory. A hat-trick or hat trick is the achievement of a generally positive feat three times in a match, or another achievement based on the number three. Wests Tigers
The Wests Tigers are an Australian professional Rugby league, rugby league football team, based in the Inner West and South West Sydney. They have competed in the National Rugby League since being formed at the end of the 1999 NRL season as a joint-venture club between the Balmain Tigers and the Western Suburbs Magpies. The Wests Tigers started playing in the 2000 NRL season and they won their maiden premiership in 2005 NRL season, 2005. It is one of only two clubs (the other being the Newcastle Knights) that has never lost a Grand Final in which it has participated. Jayden Campbell (born 7 February 2000) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League (NRL). Background Campbell was born in Cronulla, Sydney, New South Wales, into a family of Indigenous Australian (Kamilaroi) and Danish descent. In 2006, at six years of age, he moved with his family to the Gold Coast, Queensland, when his professional rugby league-playing father, Preston, became the first player to sign with the newly established Gold Coast Titans and was later honoured with the club's first ever Life Membership. The Campbell family also shares a relation with former Queensland captain Greg Inglis who is a cousin of theirs. The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. It featured nineteen matches across three weekends, including the 2022 All Stars match, which was won by the Māori All Stars 16 – 10, and the annual Charity Shield match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons, which the Dragons won 16–10.
