Seán Moore (Irish Politician)
Seán Moore (19 May 1913 – 1 October 1986) was an Irish Fianna Fáil politician. Moore was born in Dublin in 1913 and grew up in Irishtown, Dublin. He was educated at the Vocational School in Ringsend and University College Dublin where he received a diploma in Social and Economic Science. He worked as an official with the Alliance and Dublin Consumers' Gas Company before becoming involved in politics. Moore first held political office in 1950 when he was elected to Dublin City Council, a position he would hold until 1979. He served as Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1963 to 1964. Moore was elected to Dáil Éireann as a Fianna Fáil Teachta Dála (TD) on his third attempt at the 1965 general election, representing the Dublin South-East constituency in the 18th Dáil. In 1979 Charles Haughey came to power and Moore became Government Chief Whip. Seán Moore (Gaelic Footballer)
Seán Moore (born 1934) was an Irish Gaelic footballer and athlete who played for club side Glenview, divisional side Seandún, at senior level with the Cork county team and with Munster. He usually lined out at midfield. Career Moore first came to prominence as a Gaelic footballer when he was selected for the Munster colleges team while a student at the North Monastery. After a brief stint with the Mitchels club in Castlebar, he subsequently joined the Glenview club also earned selection on the Seandún divisional team. A brief period with the Cork junior team was followed by inclusion on the senior side in 1954. Moore enjoyed great success throughout the 1956–57 seasons, winning a National League medal and consecutive Munster Championship medals. The ultimate success eluded him as Cork suffered back-to-back All-Ireland final defeats to Galway and Louth. Sean Anthony Moore (born 30 July 1968) is a Welsh musician, who is the drummer and percussionist and occasional trumpet player of the Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers. He is cousin to bandmate James Dean Bradfield. Early years Born on 30 July 1968 in Pontypool, Torfaen, Moore attended Oakdale Comprehensive in Oakdale, Caerphilly, with his cousin James Dean Bradfield, and other future band members Nicky Wire and Richey Edwards. Roles in the band Simon Price wrote in ''Everything (A Book About Manic Street Preachers)'' that "Sean Moore is quite possibly the only person in rock who doesn't take the Manics seriously". Seann Miley Moore is an Indonesian-Australian singer, known for competing in season 12 of the X-Factor UK and in season 10 of The Voice Australia. Career In 2015, Moore competed in season 12 of the X-Factor UK at the age of 25 and made it to the final ten. In 2017, he released his first EP called “Seann Miley Moore”, that consisted of four songs. He released his second EP, “4 Track Bitch” in 2018.
