Sean Lucas
Sean Christopher Lucas (born December 8, 1983) is a retired Canadian football linebacker who played all six years of his career for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was a part of Saskatchewan's Grey Cup win in 2007 and was named a CFL West All-Star in 2009. Lucas was widely regarded as the Saskatchewan player at the centre of the infamous 13th Man incident that cost the club the championship in 2009. Lucas was named in football circles as the extra player who was on the field when Montreal kicker Damon Duval missed a 43-yard field goal as time expired, seemingly giving Saskatchewan the win. But Duval got a second chance from 33 yards after the Riders were penalized for too many men. Duval converted to give Montreal a thrilling 28-27 victory. The Riders have never said who the extra man was, but video replays did show Lucas start off the field, then turn and stay on for Duval's attempt in the most heart-breaking finish in Grey Cup history. The 2011 Saskatchewan Roughriders season was the 54th season for the team in the Canadian Football League. The Roughriders finished 4th place in the West Division with a 5–13 record and were eliminated from the playoffs after a loss to the BC Lions on October 16, 2011. The 2011 CFL season was the 58th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it was the 54th season of the Canadian Football League. 2010 CFL Season
The 2010 CFL season is the 57th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it is the 53rd Canadian Football League season. Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton hosted the 98th Grey Cup on November 28 when the Montreal Alouettes became the first team to repeat as Grey Cup Champions in 13 years, defeating the Saskatchewan Roughriders, 21–18. The Roughriders attempted to win their 4th Grey Cup championship but lost to the Alouettes in the Grey Cup final. The 2008 CFL season was the 55th season of modern-day Canadian football, the 51st season for the Canadian Football League.
