Sean Lake (born 6 December 1991) is an Australian professional racing cyclist. He won the King of the Mountains jersey on the first stage of the 2016 Tour Down Under. Lake is a two-time Oceania Time trial champion. The 2016 Tour Down Under was a road cycling stage race that took place between 19 and 24 January in and around Adelaide, South Australia. It was the 18th edition of the Tour Down Under and was the first event of the 2016 UCI World Tour. The defending champion was Rohan Dennis (). The Tour of Tasmania is a cycling road race contested annually in Tasmania, Australia. Created in 1996, the race formed part of the calendar of the Union Cycliste International from 1997 to 2002. The race was not contested the 2001, 2003 and 2004, it reappeared in 2005, but was not integrated with the UCI Oceania Tour. The 2019 edition of the race was won by Dylan Sunderland of . The 2016 UCI Oceania Tour was the twelfth season of the UCI Oceania Tour. The season began on 20 January 2016 with the New Zealand Cycle Classic and finished on 5 March 2016 with the Continental Championships. The points leader, based on the cumulative results of previous races, wears the UCI Oceania Tour cycling jersey. Taylor Gunman from New Zealand is the defending 2015 UCI Oceania Tour champion. The Oceania Road Championships are a series of road cycling races held annually to determine the Oceanian champion in each event. The event has been held since 1995 and consists of an elite and under-23 men's and an elite women's road race and time trial. Australian National Time Trial Championships
The Australian National Time Trial Championships, are held annually with an event for each category of rider: Men, Women & under 23 riders. The event has been run concurrently with the Australian National Road Race Championships since 2002. The Australian Championships have officially been known as the Scody Australian Open Road Cycling Championships since 1999, taking the name of their main sponsor, but are more commonly referred to as ''The Nationals''. According to Cycling Australia, the under 23 men's time trial championships were introduced in 2001. Gran fondo national championships were introduced in 2016. E-sports made a debut in 2019.
