Sean Eric Davis Jr. (born October 23, 1993) is an American football free safety for the Houston Roughnecks of the XFL. He played college football at Maryland and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the Washington Football Team. High school career Davis attended Maret School in Washington, D.C. As a senior, he recorded 87 tackles and three interceptions on defense and ran for 823 yards, seven rushing touchdowns, 601 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns on offense. He received offers from North Carolina, Boston College, and Connecticut but ultimately chose to attend the University of Maryland to play football. Early life and high school Davis grew up in Miami, Florida and attended Miami Southridge High School. Davis committed to play college football at Florida over an offer from Miami. College career Davis played mostly as a reserve and on special teams as a true freshman. Davis missed the first month of his sophomore season due to injury and finished the year with 22 tackles, two tackles for loss and five passes broken up. Sean Davis (born 20 September 1979) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He made his professional debut for Fulham in 1996 and went on to make over 150 league appearances for the club. He joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2004. In January 2006, he signed for Portsmouth, helping them avoid relegation and then win the FA Cup in 2008. He moved on a free transfer to Bolton Wanderers in 2009, and following a loan to Bristol City and relegation from the Premier League, retired in 2012. On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, an election was held in Portland, Oregon, to elect the mayor. Ted Wheeler was elected after garnering 54% of the primary vote. Incumbent mayor Charlie Hales did not seek a second term. Portland uses a nonpartisan system for local elections, in which all voters are eligible to participate.
