Sea Of Love (Fly To The Sky Album)
''Sea of Love'' is the third studio album by South Korean R&B duo Fly to the Sky. It was released via SM Entertainment on April 26, 2002. Commercially, the album peaked at number two on the monthly RIAK album chart and sold almost 250,000 copies by the end of the year. Overview The duo started off with the poppy ballad "Sea of Love", which became a strong single for the duo, being played and promoted heavily on the various music and performance charts. Fany had to perform the song solo while Brian was finishing his studies at Rutgers University, which why the solo version was included as a bonus track on the album. The second single to come from the album was "Condition of My Heart", a ballad written by Brian McKnight and very unlike their previous singles. Fly to the Sky ( ko, 플라이 투 더 스카이) is a South Korean R&B duo consisting of Brian Joo and Hwanhee. Initially marketed as K-pop idols, the duo later developed a more mature image and became one of the most popular R&B groups in South Korea. Between August 1998 and September 2008, the Recording Industry Association of Korea (RIAK) and the Music Industry Association of Korea (MIAK) published a monthly record chart, ranking the best-selling CDs and cassettes within South Korea. At least 100 albums and two singles have topped the chart during the course of its existence. In early 1998, South Korea's National Tax Service decided that the music industry should be more transparent. The Korean Video Record Association decided in a meeting held on July 23, 1998, that record sales should be tracked and released on a monthly basis. The record labels had to submit the sales of an album up to six months after its release. The data had to be submitted until the 7th of every month and was released by the RIAK on the 10th. Brian Joo (Korean name: Joo Min-gyu (); born January 10, 1981), better known professionally as Brian (), is a Korean American singer and one-half of the R&B duo Fly to the Sky. His first solo album, '' The Brian'' was released in December 2006. His second solo album, ''Manifold'' was released in December 2009. Early life and education Brian Joo was born on January 10, 1981, in Los Angeles, California to Korean immigrant parents. His original Korean name was Joo Jin-taek (), but his father changed it to Joo Min-gyu () when he was three years old. Joo grew up in New Jersey and spoke Korean at home. ''Inkigayo'' ( ko, 인기가요; English title: ''The Music Trend'', previously ''Popular Song'') is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It airs live every Sunday. The show features some of the latest and most popular artists who perform on stage. It is broadcast from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul. History ''Inkigayo'' debuted as ''SBS Popular Song'' in 1991 as a chart show, but was canceled in fall 1993 because it was replaced by TV Gayo 20 (TV 가요20). The Palace of Fine Arts is a monumental structure located in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, originally constructed for the 1915 Panama–Pacific International Exposition to exhibit works of art. Completely rebuilt from 1964 to 1974, it is the only structure from the exposition that survives on site.
