Tony Scullion
Tony "The Tiger" Scullion (born 6 February 1962) is a former dual player of Gaelic games who played Gaelic football and hurling with Derry in the 1980s and 1990s. He is chiefly known as a footballer and was part of Derry's 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, also winning Ulster Senior Football Championships in 1987 and 1993. With Derry footballers he usually played in the full-back line and is regarded as one of the best full-backs of his generation. Scullion played club football and hurling with St Colm's GAC Ballinascreen. Scullion is among the few players who won four All Stars over the course of their career and was named full back on the Irish News Team of the Decade in 2004. Nigel Scullion
Nigel Gregory Scullion (born 4 May 1956) is a former Australian politician who was a Senator for the Northern Territory from 2001 to 2019. He was a member of the Country Liberal Party (CLP) and sat with the National Party in federal parliament. He held ministerial office under four prime ministers. Scullion was a professional fisherman prior to entering politics. He was first elected to the Senate at the 2001 federal election, and briefly served as Minister for Community Services in the Howard Government in 2007. He was deputy leader of the National Party from 2007 to 2013, the first senator to hold the position, and served two terms as the party's Senate leader (2007–2008 and 2013–2019). In 2013, Scullion was appointed Minister for Indigenous Affairs in the Abbott Government. Scullion (group)
Scullion is an Irish folk rock band that formed in the mid-1970s. The group was popular in Ireland, releasing LPs and two CDs, in addition to the compilation ''Ghosts And Heroes'' on the Kitten label in 1992 and another compilation, ''Eyelids into Snow – A Collection,'' in 2001. The founding members were Sonny Condell (also a member of another popular Irish music band Tír na nÓg), Philip King, Greg Boland and Jimmy O'Brien Moran. O'Brien Moran left the band in 1980, after the first album. Robbie Overson, replacing guitarist Greg Boland, joined the band in 1987. Scullion continue to play live. History In 1976, Sonny Condell and Philip King played together with Freddie White (vocals and guitar), Mick Daly (vocals and guitar), Dan Fitzgerald (drums) and Eamon Doyle (bass). Stephen Scullion
Stephen Scullion (born 9 November 1988) is an Irish middle-distance and long-distance runner. Early life Scullion was born in Belfast and attended Wellington College. Athletic career Scullion was selected for Northern Ireland at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 1500m and 5000m, but missed out due to illness. He competed in the 3000 metres at the 2013 European Athletics Indoor Championships and in the 10000 m at the 2018 European Athletics Championships. At the 2019 Houston Marathon he finished tenth in a personal best, despite taking a wrong turn and being corrected by a member of the public. He qualified for the 2019 World Championships and for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Scullion finished second in the 2019 Dublin Marathon and eleventh in the 2020 London Marathon. Liam Scullion (born 7 October 2001) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Clyde. Club career Scullion began his career in the youth academy of Hamilton Academical. He joined Stenhousemuir on loan in 2019 and made his professional league debut on 3 August in a 3–2 defeat to Albion Rovers. Scullion had a loan spell at East Kilbride in 2020, before leaving the Accies that summer. After his departure from New Douglas Park, he joined Fauldhouse United in 2020. His good form for the ''Hoose'' earned Scullion a move to Scottish Professional Football League side Clyde in 2022. Michelle Scullion
Michelle Scullion (born 1957) is a New Zealand musician and composer. Several of her soundscapes are part of installations at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. Biography Scullion grew up in Stokes Valley, on the outskirts of Wellington, New Zealand. After high school, she studied music at Wellington Polytechnic and Victoria University of Wellington. Her first major film project was to create the score for Sir Peter Jackson's 1987 film '' Bad Taste''. During her career, she has composed music for commercials, corporate videos, short films, documentaries and feature films. She also performs and records.
