Nanni Loy
Nanni Loy (born Giovanni Loi; 23 October 1925 – 21 August 1995) was an Italian film, theatre and TV director. Specifically, Nanni Loy was Sardinian, and one of several notable Sardinian film makers, including Franco Solinas. Biography Loy was born in Cagliari, Sardinia: his father was Guglielmo Loy-Donà, a lawyer issue from a distinguished Sardinian-Venetian family, and his mother was the noblewoman Donna Anna Sanjust of the Marquesses of Neoneli. Rosetta Loy, an Italian novelist, is his sister-in-law. He became famous for introducing in Italy the candid camera with his show ''Specchio segreto'' (Secret mirror) in 1965. His 1962 film '' The Four Days of Naples'' was nominated for two Academy Awards. It also won the FIPRESCI Prize at the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival in 1963. Aldo Giuffrè (10 April 1924 – 26 June 2010) was an Italian film actor and comedian who appeared in over 90 films between 1948 and 2001. He was born in Naples and was the brother of actor Carlo Giuffrè. He is known for his roles in '' The Four Days of Naples'', and as the alcoholic Captain Clinton of the Union Army in the Sergio Leone film ''The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'' in 1966. Giuseppe Caruso (12 October 1934 – 7 March 2019), best known as Pino Caruso, was an Italian actor, author and television personality. Life and career Caruso was born in Palermo, Sicily and debuted as dramatic stage actor in his home town in 1957. In 1965 he moved to Rome and entered the theater company " Il Bagaglino". Franco Fraticelli (30 August, 1928 in Rome, Italy – 26 April 2012 in Rome) was an Italian film editor with more than 150 film credits. Fraticelli was director Dario Argento's editor of choice from his earliest films (''The Bird with the Crystal Plumage''-1969) through ''Opera'' (1987). He also had an important collaboration with director Lina Wertmüller, commencing with her third film ''Rita the Mosquito'' (1966). Claudio Mattone (born 28 February 1943) is an Italian composer, lyricist and music producer. Born in Santa Maria a Vico, Caserta, Mattone approached music at young age, as a jazz pianist. After leaving the university he moved to Rome, where he debuted in 1968 as a singer-songwriter with the song "E' sera", that premiered without any success at Cantagiro '68. Salvatore Leopoldo "Leo" Gullotta (born 9 January 1946) is an Italian actor, voice actor, comedian and writer. Biography Born in Catania and the last of six children, Gullotta started his career as an extra in Teatro Massimo Bellini.
