"Scribble" is a song by electronic group Underworld. It was released as the first single from their album '' Barking''. The track, co-produced by High Contrast, was released as a digital single on 28 June 2010. Underworld are a British electronic music group formed in 1987 in Cardiff, Wales (although active in several other guises since 1978), and the principal collaborative project of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith (musician), Rick Smith. After briefly performing as a funk and synth-pop outfit, resulting in two albums between 1988 and 1989, Underworld gained prominence after reshaping into a dance and techno band, releasing albums including ''Dubnobasswithmyheadman'' (1994), ''Second Toughest in the Infants'' (1996) and ''Beaucoup Fish'' (1999), as well as singles "Born Slippy Nuxx" and "Dark & Long, Dark & Long (Dark Train)". Barking (album)
''Barking'' is the eighth studio album by British electronic group Underworld, released on 2 September 2010. The album debuted at number twenty-six on the UK Albums Chart, selling 5,146 copies in its first week. Composition and release The album is named after Barking, historically in Essex and now in Greater London. Each track on the album was written by band members Karl Hyde and Rick Smith in Essex, before being sent to well-known trance, drum and bass and dubstep producers. The album sees further collaboration with Mark Knight and D. Ramirez, whose 2009 single, "Downpipe", featured lyrics and vocals by Hyde. The lead single, " Scribble", produced with Welsh drum and bass producer High Contrast, was released on 28 June 2010. The band released a radio edit of the track for free download on their website on 13 May 2010. High Contrast
Lincoln Barrett (born 18 September 1979), better known by the stage name High Contrast, is a Welsh electronic music producer, DJ and record producer. He produces drum and bass music, and his 2009 album '' Confidential'' reached BPI gold certification (100,000 units sold in the UK). Career Early work Barrett was born in Penarth, near Cardiff, and grew up more interested in films and film soundtracks than rock or pop music; he cites Wendy Carlos's ''A Clockwork Orange'' soundtrack album and the Vangelis soundtrack for ''Blade Runner'' as defining musical influences. Whilst studying film making in Newport, he heard J Majik's ''Arabian Nights'' which turned the then 17-year-old Barrett on to drum and bass music. A13 Road (England)
The A13 is a major road in England linking Central London with east London and south Essex. Its route is similar to that of the London, Tilbury and Southend line via Rainham, Grays, Tilbury, Stanford-Le-Hope & Pitsea, and runs the entire length of the northern Thames Gateway area, terminating on the Thames Estuary at Shoeburyness. It is a trunk road between London and the Tilbury junction, a primary route between there and Sadlers Hall Farm near South Benfleet, and a non-primary route between there and Shoeburyness. The London Borough of Newham () is a London borough created in 1965 by the London Government Act 1963. It covers an area previously administered by the Essex county boroughs of West Ham and East Ham, authorities that were both abolished by the same act. The name Newham reflects its creation and combines the compass points of the old borough names.
