The Screen Nation Film & TV Awards, formerly the bfm (black filmmaker) Film and TV Awards, was founded in September 2003 by independent film producer Charles Thompson MBE, as a platform to raise the profile of black British and international film and television talent of African heritage. Statuette The Screen Nation Award statuette is based on a West African mask and was designed by Jamaican-born sculptor George "Fowokan" Kelly. "The statuette signifies via the mask that there is a change coming. A mask takes you from one state into another and in this case from being unrecognized and unrewarded to being recognized and celebrated". ''Brotherhood'' (stylised as ''BrOTHERHOOD'') is a 2016 British crime drama film written, produced directed by and starring Noel Clarke. It is the sequel to 2006's ''Kidulthood'' and 2008's ''Adulthood'', and is the third and final instalment of ''The Hood Trilogy''. ''Black Mirror'' is a British anthology television series created by Charlie Brooker. Individual episodes explore a diversity of genres, but most are set in near-future dystopias with science fiction technology—a type of speculative fiction. Sebastian Henry Thiel (born 31 August 1990) is a film director, writer and producer. Career Thiel's filmmaking career began in 2008, after his dreams of playing professional basketball fell through. He founded the production company Upshot Entertainment, which produces short films and comedy sketches and began releasing his self-produced videos on YouTube.
