David Eady (April 22, 1924 – April 5, 2009) was a British film director and producer. Born in London, he was the son of Sir Wilfred Eady (of the Eady Levy). His films include documentaries, dramas (often second features) and children's films. James Hayter (actor)
Henry James Hayter (23 April 1907 – 27 March 1983) was a British actor of television and film. He is best remembered for his roles as Friar Tuck in the film ''The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men'' (1952) and as Samuel Pickwick in the film ''The Pickwick Papers'' (1952), the latter earning him a BAFTA Award for Best British Actor nomination. Early life He was born in Lonavala, India, and brought up in Scotland, attending Dollar Academy. He made his West End debut in the 1936 comedy ''The Composite Man'' at Daly's Theatre. William Thomas Clucas (14 April 19258 July 2016), better known as William Lucas, was an English film, theatre, radio and television actor. Early years William Lucas was born in Manchester, England. Before he became an actor, he was a commercial traveller, laundry hand, cook, farm labourer, and long-distance lorry driver, and served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War. Career Lucas earned a scholarship to the Northern Theatre School, and trained there. He then became an assistant stage manager at the Chesterfield Civic Theatre in the late 1940s. David William Frederick Lodge (19 August 1921 – 18 October 2003) was an English character actor. Career During the Second World War, Lodge served in the RAF. Before turning to acting he worked as a circus clown. He also appeared in Gang Shows and variety before making his screen debut in ''The Cockleshell Heroes'' and going on to feature in many British films usually portraying military types, and often comedic roles. He was a close friend of Peter Sellers and appeared as part of Spike Milligan's team on his '' Q'' programmes (a running gag being that in each episode he or Spike would mention his role in ''The Cockleshell Heroes''). Lodge was very prolific during the 1950s and in 1958 alone he appeared in ten films.
