Scotty James
Scott James (born 6 July 1994) is an Australian snowboarder and four-time Olympian. He was the flag bearer for Australia at the 2018 Winter Olympics, where he won a bronze medal in the halfpipe. Scotty grew up in Warrandyte, Victoria and is a keen golfer and skateboarder. Personal life James is currently engaged to Chloe Stroll. James has a condition that causes his knee to randomly dislocate. Career James first competed on the international circuit as a 16-year-old at the 2010 Europa Cup in Saas Fee, Switzerland. Throughout his first two World Cup seasons, concluding 1 July 2012, he has proven himself an up-and-coming star of the halfpipe, with consistently improving results. Warrandyte is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 24 km north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Manningham local government area. 2016-17 FIS Snowboard World Cup
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. FIS Snowboard World Cup
The FIS Snowboard World Cup is an annual snowboarding competition, arranged by the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 1994. Since its inauguration, different disciplines have been added and removed, along with categories used to group them. Currently disciplines contested in the World Cup are: ''Parallel Giant Slalom'' and ''Parallel Slalom'' (grouped into Parallel category), ''Halfpipe'', ''Big Air'' and ''Slopestyle'' (grouped into AFU category) and the discipline-category of Snowboard Cross. Most of these disciplines have been contested on and off throughout the years. The only discipline contested in every season of the World Cup is the Halfpipe (and from 1996–97 season onward the Snowboard Cross). There was an Overall classification until the 2009–10 season.
