The Scottish cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates to play the United Arab Emirates in February 2016. The tour consisted of a Twenty20 International (T20I) match. The match was in preparation for the World Twenty20 in India in March and was played at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The United Arab Emirates won the one-off match by 9 runs. Ahmed Raza (cricketer, Born 1988)
Ahmed Raza ( ur, ; born 10 October 1988) is a cricketer who plays for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Raza is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. Personal life Raza was born and raised in Sharjah, the youngest of four siblings. He is the son of Pakistani parents Shamim and Syed Zahid Kazmi. His father ran a plumbing business in Sharjah, having immigrated to the UAE in 1972 to work as an electrical engineer. Raza was employed by United Bank Limited. He married business analyst Mehreen Tahir in 2021. Junior career Raza started playing street cricket at a young age and joined Shahzad Altaf's cricket academy at the age of 13. He began as a left-arm fast bowler, modelling his technique on Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram, but switched to left-arm spin as a teenager. Swapnil Patil (born 15 April 1985) is an Indian-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. Patil is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. Career He played for the United Arab Emirates in the 2014 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament where he made ODI debut in final in New Zealand against Scotland at Bert Sutcliffe Oval in Lincoln. Patil was among six players making their One Day International (ODI) debuts and he impressed with a run-a-ball 99. He was dropped off the penultimate ball and needed two off the final delivery of the chase to reach a memorable century but could only edge to midwicket for a single. Joshua Henry Davey (born 3 August 1990) is a Scottish cricketer, who plays for Somerset County Cricket Club having previously played for Middlesex as well as representing his country in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals. Matthew Cross (cricketer)
Matthew Henry Cross (born 15 October 1992) is a Scottish cricketer who plays for Scotland and is a right-handed wicket-keeper batsman. Cross made his One Day International debut for Scotland against Canada on 23 January 2014. Career Matthew Cross served as the Scotland U19 vice-captain during the 2011 U19 World Cup. He is studying Engineering at Loughborough University. Matthew became a member of Aberdeenshire CC at age nine. His performances with Loughbourgh MCCU and Scotland U19s were considered outstanding. Kyle James Coetzer (born 14 April 1984) is a Scottish cricketer and former captain of the side in international formats. He captained at under-15, under-17 and under-19 levels including skippering in the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Bangladesh. Coetzer was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to cricket. Richard Douglas Berrington (born 3 April 1987) is a Scottish cricketer. He played for Scotland in the 2006 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka, and has since played first-class, One Day International, and List A cricket for Scotland. Usman Mushtaq (born 5 November 1986) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team. He made his debut for the UAE in November 2015. He has represented the UAE at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International levels. Shaiman Anwar Butt ( ur, ; born 15 March 1979) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for the United Arab Emirates national cricket team.
