Scott William Cox
Scott William Cox (born November 3, 1963) is a suspected American serial killer, convicted on two separate counts of homicide in 1993 in Portland, Oregon, and suspected of many more. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, but was granted parole in 2013, five years early. He currently is serving a post-prison supervision term of life. He is also the prime suspect in 20 unsolved murder cases throughout the United States and Canada, although charges were never brought against him. Life before murder convictions Since 1975, Cox was admitted to mental institutions 115 times. He had been convicted of forgery and gun theft prior to his murder convictions. At the time of his arrest for murder, he was living under post-prison supervision for the crime of forgery. He worked as a long-haul truck driver, operating mainly within the Pacific Northwest, and traveling as far as Canada and Mexico, and as far east as Ohio. Newberg, Oregon
Newberg is a city in Yamhill County, Oregon, United States. Located in the Portland metropolitan area, the city is home to George Fox University. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 25,138 making it the second most populous city in the county. History Ewing Young, after leading pioneering fur brigades in California, came to Portland in 1834 and settled on the west bank of the Willamette River near the mouth of Chehalem Creek, opposite of Champoeg. Young's home is believed to be the first house built by European-Americans on that side of the river. Later, Joseph Rogers settled near the Willamette River at what is now Newberg in 1848.
