Scott Wainner
Scott Wainner (born 1978) is an American Internet entrepreneur and angel investor who founded Fareness and ResellerRatings. He is an investor in HandUp, a direct giving platform based in San Francisco. Personal life Wainner grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended Bishop Lynch High School. For college, he attended Texas A&M University in 1996, initially in the Aerospace Engineering program and then subsequently as a Computer Science major, but dropped out in 1998. In addition to founding All Enthusiast, Inc. in 2001 and working as its CEO, he worked for EarthWeb in 1999-2000 as Editor-in-Chief, Internet.com in 2000-2001 as Editor-in-Chief, and Answers.com in 2012-2013 as GM of ResellerRatings. ResellerRatings is an online ratings site where consumers submit ratings and reviews of online retailers, and online retailers participate to respond to reviewers and to gather reviews from their customers post-purchase. As of July 11, 2017, the site had over 6.2 million user-submitted reviews for 202,000 stores. ResellerRatings operates a :freemium business model. Dice (singular die or dice) are small, throwable objects with marked sides that can rest in multiple positions. Leo Laporte (; born November 29, 1956) is the host of ''The Tech Guy'' weekly radio show and a host on TWiT.tv, an Internet podcast network focusing on technology. He is also a former TechTV technology host (1998–2008) and a technology author.
