Scott Usher (born April 27, 1983) is an American former competition swimmer who represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics The 2004 Summer Olympics ( el, Θερινοί Ολυμπιακοί Αγώνες 2004, ), officially the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad ( el, Αγώνες της 28ης Ολυμπιάδας, ) and also known as Athens 2004 ( el, Αθήνα 2004), ... in Athens, Greece. He swam for Grand Island Senior High in high school. Usher advanced to the finals of the men's 200-meter breaststroke, and finished seventh overall with a time of 2:11.95. Breaststroke
Breaststroke is a swimming style in which the swimmer is on their chest and the torso does not rotate. It is the most popular recreational style due to the swimmer's head being out of the water a large portion of the time, and that it can be swum comfortably at slow speeds. In most swimming classes, beginners learn either the breaststroke or the freestyle (front crawl) first. However, at the competitive level, swimming breaststroke at speed requires endurance and strength comparable to other strokes. Some people refer to breaststroke as the "frog" stroke, as the arms and legs move somewhat like a frog swimming in the water. The stroke itself is the slowest of any competitive strokes and is thought to be the oldest of all swimming strokes. Wyoming Cowboys
The Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls are the sport, athletic teams that represent the University of Wyoming, located in Laramie, Wyoming, Laramie. Fullerton, Nebraska
Fullerton is a city in, and the county seat of, Nance County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 1,307 as of the 2010 Census. History A location by Fullerton called "Buffalo Leap" was thought to be used by aboriginals for driving buffalo to their deaths as a hunting method. It is also known as "Lover's Leap". Currently it is a part of the Broken Arrow Wilderness Camp located just north of Fullerton. In 1856, the Fullerton area became part of a Pawnee reservation and was excluded from settlement under the 1862 Homestead Act. Swimming is an individual or team racing sport that requires the use of one's entire body to move through water. The sport takes place in pools or open water (e.g., in a sea or lake). Competitive swimming is one of the most popular Olympic sports, with varied distance events in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle, and individual medley. In addition to these individual events, four swimmers can take part in either a freestyle or medley relay. A medley relay consists of four swimmers who will each swim a different stroke, ordered as backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle.
