Scott Schweitzer
Scott Schweitzer (born August 12, 1971 in Rahway, New Jersey) is an American soccer coach and former professional soccer player. He spent two years as the head coach of Carolina RailHawks FC. College soccer Schweitzer was a four-year letter winner at N.C. State University. He was a two-time All-American (second team in 1991 and first team in 1992) and named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year in 1992. He was a member of the Wolfpack team that made it to the 1990 NCAA Final Four. Schweitzer was also a member of the U.S. World University Games Team from 1992–1994. In 2002, he was selected to the ACC's 50th Anniversary men's soccer team. Professional career Schweitzer began his professional career in France in 1993 and 1994, where he played for Stade Brestois 29 and En Avant Guingamp of the French Third Division. Indoor soccer or arena soccer (known internationally as indoor football, fast football, or showball) is five-a-side version of minifootball, derived from association football and adapted to be played in walled hardcourt indoor arena. Indoor soccer, as it is most often known in the United States and Canada, was originally developed in these two countries as a way to play soccer during the winter months, when snow would make outdoor play difficult. In those countries, gymnasiums are adapted for indoor soccer play. Laurie Calloway
Laurence John Calloway (born 17 June 1945) is an English retired footballer who played as defender, spending thirteen years in the English leagues and five years in the North American Soccer League. Since retiring from playing professionally, Calloway has coached teams in several US leagues. Playing career England Calloway began his professional playing career with Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1962, but failed to make an appearance for their first team. He remained with Wolves until 1964 when he dropped down the league to join Rochdale where he would spend four seasons. He spent the next thirteen years as a journeyman bouncing from one lower division club to another. In 1968 Calloway moved to Second Division Blackburn Rovers. Rochester New York FC, formerly known as the Rochester Rhinos, are an American professional soccer team based in Rochester, New York, United States. Founded in 1996, as the Rochester Raging Rhinos, they changed their name to Rochester Rhinos to start the 2008 season. The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. American Professional Soccer League
The American Professional Soccer League (APSL) was a professional men's soccer league with teams from the United States and later Canada. It was formed in 1990 by the merger of the third American Soccer League with the Western Soccer League. It was the first outdoor soccer league to feature teams from throughout the United States since the demise of the North American Soccer League in 1984. The league was sanctioned as Division II in the United States soccer league system but was the country's ''de facto'' top professional soccer league until 1995. In 1993, the APSL applied for the vacant Division I role but lost out to Major League Soccer who would begin play in 1996. The Championnat de France National ( en, French National Championship), commonly referred to as simply National or Division 3, serves as the third division of the French football league system behind Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
