Scott R. Britton is an elected American local government official in Cook County, Illinois. He is currently a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners representing the 14th District of Cook County which includes Arlington Heights, Barrington, Glencoe, Glenview, Inverness, Kenilworth, Northbrook, Northfield, Palatine, Prospect Heights, Rolling Meadows, Wheeling, Wilmette and Winnetka. as well as parts of Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Deer Park and Deerfield. Prior to his service on the Board of Commissioners, Britton served as a village trustee in Glenview. Personal life Britton grew up in Macon, Illinois. Buffalo Grove, officially the Village of Buffalo Grove, is a village in Lake and Cook County, Illinois. A suburb of Chicago, it lies about northwest of Downtown Chicago. As of the 2020 Census, Buffalo Grove has a population of 43,212. It totals of land, with the top three-quarters in Lake County and the bottom quarter in Cook County. Roads in the village such as Lake Cook Road and Illinois Route 83 converge on I-294, which take drivers to O'Hare International Airport south of Buffalo Grove. Lawrence J. "Larry" Suffredin (born October 5, 1947) is an American politician who formerly served as a member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners representing the 13th district. Early life and education Suffredin was born October 5, 1947 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, and grew up in Westchester, Illinois. He was the first of eight children born to Lawrence J. Suffredin Sr., a World War II combat veteran, and Patricia Mulrainey Suffredin. His father worked as a Chicago policeman and then became the "Printer to South Water Market" as the owner of Chicago Produce Publishing Company which reported on the local fruit and vegetable market. Laura Fine (born 1967) is a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate for the 9th district. Fine previously represented the 17th district of the Illinois House of Representatives from 2013 to 2019 and as Northfield Township Clerk.
