Scott McGregor (born April 1981) is an Australian model, television presenter and actor. McGregor worked as a model on the game show ''Temptation (Australian game show), Temptation''. He has also appeared in television commercials and print advertisements. From 2008, McGregor hosted the motoring show ''Blood, Sweat and Gears''. As an actor, he has appeared in ''Underbelly (TV series), Underbelly'', ''Winners & Losers'' and ''Offspring (TV series), Offspring''. McGregor joined the cast of ''Neighbours'' as Mark Brennan (Neighbours), Detective Mark Brennan in 2010. He departed the show the following year to pursue other career opportunities, before returning in 2013 for a guest stint. He returned in 2014 in a regular capacity, until his departure in 2019. Early life Scott McGregor was born in Orange, New South Wales where his parents Douglas and Joyce McGregor owned a farm and managed '' The Central Western Daily'' newspaper. In 1969 the family moved to Mudgee when his parents purchased the ''Mudgee Guardian''. Scott was educated at Mudgee High School and The Scots College in Sydney. Scott Houston McGregor (born January 18, 1954) is an American former professional baseball player and coach. He played his entire career in Major League Baseball as a left-handed pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles from to . McGregor was an integral member of the Orioles team that won the 1983 World Series, pitching a complete game shut out to clinch the series victory. Known for constantly changing the speeds of his pitches, McGregor was a 20-game winner in and was named an American League (AL) All-Star in 1981. After his playing career, he became a youth pastor before returning to serve a major league coach. He was most recently the pitching coach for the Aberdeen IronBirds. Scott McGregor (born 5 February 1976) is an Australian former professional basketball player. Born in Newcastle, New South Wales, McGregor attended the Australian Institute of Sport from 1994 to 1995. He began his NBL career with the Newcastle Falcons, where he won the NBL Rookie of the Year award. In 1997, McGregor played in the Australian Under 22's team that won a gold medal in the FIBA World Championships in Melbourne. McGregor was one of many future NBL stars, including Chris Anstey, Sam Mackinnon and Frank Drmic, to suit up in the team. After the 1997 NBL season, McGregor moved to the Sydney Kings where he would play until 2000, making the switch to Sydney's cross-town rivals. Though he has yet to reach the Major League Baseball (MLB), he has played at Triple-A—the level directly below the majors—each year since 2013, he appeared in MLB spring training.
