Scott Knight
Scott Knight (born 28 April 1959 in King Island, Tasmania) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL) in 1984. He was recruited from the North Launceston Football Club in the Northern Tasmanian Football League with the second last selection in the first ever VFL Draft in 1981. He is originally from King Island, Tasmania. King Island (Tasmania)
King Island is an island in the Bass Strait, belonging to the Australian state of Tasmania. It is the largest of three islands known as the New Year Group, and the second-largest island in Bass Strait (after Flinders Island). The island's population at the was 1,585 people, up from 1,566 in 2011. The local government area of the island is the King Island Council. The island forms part of the official land divide between the Great Australian Bight and Bass Strait, off the north-western tip of Tasmania and about halfway to the mainland state of Victoria. Perth Wildcats
The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Wildcats compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at RAC Arena, known colloquially as "The Jungle". After three years of strong lobbying to the NBL, the creation of a national basketball team in Perth finally occurred in 1982. The Westate Wildcats were established and played out of the 800-seat Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium. Matthew Knight (basketball)
Matthew James Knight (born 31 May 1985) is an Australian former professional basketball player who played the majority of his 10-year career with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL). Knight, a native of Tasmania, began playing basketball in his hometown of Burnie as a youth. After a year at the Australian Institute of Sport in 2003, Knight ventured to the United States where he played four years of college basketball for Loyola Marymount University (LMU). After graduating from LMU, Knight joined the NBL ranks and had a two-year stint with the West Sydney Razorbacks / Sydney Spirit between 2007 and 2009.
