Scott Kennedy (political Scientist)
Scott Kennedy is an American political scientist and China specialist currently serving as senior adviser and Trustee Chair in Chinese Business and Economics at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Education Kennedy holds a BA from the University of Virginia, a MA in China studies from Johns Hopkins University SAIS, and a PhD in political science from George Washington University. Career Kennedy was a professor at Indiana University from 2000 to 2014. In September 2022, he became the first western scholar to visit China for in-person exchanges with PRC officials and business executives since the COVID-19 lockdowns. Scott Fitzgerald Kennedy (born March 31, 1997) is a Canadian professional soccer player who plays as a centre-back for Challenger Pro League side Eupen and the Canada national team. Club career Early career Kennedy moved to Germany as an 18-year-old, signing with SBC Traunstein in 2015, and later with FC Amberg in 2016. Scott Hamilton Kennedy (born 1965) is an Academy Award nominated documentary director, as well as a writer, producer, cameraman, and editor. He is the founder of Black Valley Films, a film production company based in Silver Lake, California. He is the son of the prominent New York criminal lawyer, Michael J. Kennedy. Early career Kennedy graduated from Skidmore College and started his career in New York City. He worked on a variety of television and film platforms including scripted and unscripted television, commercials, and music videos. Kennedy got his start by working with "low-budget legend Roger Corman to direct four TV features, each shot in six days." He also directed the Jimmy Cliff version of " I Can See Clearly Now" for the film Cool Runnings (1993).
