Scott Huffaker
Scott Huffaker II (born December 28, 1999) is an American racing driver who competes in the IMSA SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series, and FIA World Endurance Championship. Career Early career After attending a number of races at a local BMX circuit as a spectator, Huffaker was encouraged to race by a track employee, leading to his maiden experience in motorsports. Huffaker began his racing career in BMX bikes at the age of five, quickly advancing through the ranks and winning at the BMX Grand Nationals two years later. Following this success, he began to transition into karting, winning two karting championships before he turned 13. Between 2010 and 2011, he raced nearly every weekend, adding up to a total of 104 races over the two-year stretch. In 2014, Huffaker graduated to single-seater competition, taking part in the SBF2000 Summer Series. The 2020 12 Hours of Sebring (formally known as the 68th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts) was an endurance sports car race held at Sebring International Raceway near Sebring, Florida from 11–14 November 2020, after being postponed from its original date on 14–15 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Simon Trummer (born 8 June 1989 in Frutigen, Canton of Bern) is a racing driver from Switzerland. Career Karting Trummer began his motorsport career in karting back in 2003, finishing second in the Swiss Junior Championship. He also finished 21st in the Andrea Margutti Trophy ICA Junior class. Formula Lista Junior Trummer moved up to single-seaters in 2006, competing in Formula Lista Junior. He finished eighteenth overall in the championship with ten points. Formula Renault Trummer joined the BMS Böhlen Motorsport team in 2007, to compete in the Formule Renault 2.0 Suisse championship. A Le Mans Prototype (LMP) is the type of sports prototype race car used in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA SportsCar Championship, European Le Mans Series and Asian Le Mans Series. Le Mans Prototypes were created by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The technical requirements for an LMP include bodywork covering all mechanical elements of the car. Currently, there are three classes within Le Mans Prototypes, designated LMP1, LMP2, and LMP3. While not as fast as open-wheel Formula One cars around a track, LMP1s were the fastest closed-wheel racing cars used in circuit racing. Josh Green (born November 15, 2002) is an American racing driver. He currently competes in the 2023 INDY NXT driving for HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing. Green previously competed with Turn 3 Motorsport in the 2022 Indy Pro 2000 Championship. Racing career Karting Green first competed in racing driving indoor karts in 2015. He quickly moved into outdoor karting at Oakland Valley Raceway Park in Cuddebackville, NY, running in club and regional events in 2016. Walter Hayes Trophy
The Walter Hayes Trophy is a non-championship Formula Ford race. Sanctioned by the Historic Sports Car Club and created by James Beckett the race has grown into the most prestigious Formula Ford race worldwide. The race is held annually in November at the Silverstone Circuit. History Walter Hayes was a Ford Motor Company public relations executive. As a public relations executive Hayes was very much involved with racing. Hayes died on 26 December 2000, aged 76. The first Walter Hayes Trophy was held at Silverstone between 26 and 28 August 2001. Neil Fowler won the inaugural race in a classic Lola T200 beating 48 competitors. The 2001 race was the only Trophy held in August as part of the Silverstone Historic Festival. The Formula Ford Festival is an annual meeting of Ford-powered single-seat racing cars which is held at the end of the British racing season, at the Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in the county of Kent, in Southern England. Road America is a motorsport road course located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, United States on Wisconsin Highway 67. The Team USA Scholarship is a scholarship program which allows young American racecar drivers to compete outside of the United States. Each year, a competition is used to select the best young racecar drivers in the United States, then they are entered in highly competitive automobile racing events in an international racing environment (typically in Europe). History Formula Ford Festival (part 1) The Scholarship was launched late in the 1990 racing season by the prominent automobile racing journalist Jeremy Shaw.
