Scott Henry (cricketer)
Scott Oliver Henry (born 14 February 1989, in Mudgee, New South Wales) was an Australian cricketer who played for New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales and Queensland cricket team, Queensland. A left-handed batsman, he made his first class debut playing for New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales against Victoria cricket team, Victoria in October 2011. Henry scored an unbeaten double century against the touring Sri Lanka's in 2012 and hit a half century on his Ryobi Cup, Ryobi cup debut against Western Australia cricket team, Western Australia at the WACA Ground, WACA in Perth. He played regularly including every game of the 2014–15 Sheffield Shield season but was cut from the squad following the signing of test cricketer Ed Cowan. Mudgee
Mudgee is a town in the Central West (New South Wales), Central West of New South Wales, Australia. It is in the broad fertile Cudgegong River valley north-west of Sydney and is the largest town in the Mid-Western Regional Council Local government in Australia, local government area as well as being the council seat. WACA Ground
The WACA (formally the WACA Ground) is a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium's name derives from the initials of its owners and operators, the Western Australian Cricket Association. The WACA has been referred to as Western Australia's "home of cricket" since the early 1890s, with Test cricket played at the ground since the 1970–71 season. 2014–15 Big Bash League Season
The 2014–15 Big Bash League season or BBL, 04 was the fourth season of the Big Bash League (BBL), the premier Twenty20 cricket competition in Australia. The fourth edition ran from 18 December 2014 to 28 January 2015. The league ran two weeks longer as compared to the previous season. The opening match of the 2014–15 Big Bash League was played between Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Stars on 18 December at the Adelaide Oval. The format of fourth season is same as previous season. A total of 35 matches will be played during the Big Bash 2014–15 season. The Perth Scorchers won back-to-back titles by defeating the Sydney Sixers by 4 wickets on the last ball of the match. Run out is a method of dismissal in cricket, governed by Law 38 of the Laws of Cricket. A run out usually occurs when the batsmen are attempting to run between the wickets, and the fielding team succeed in getting the ball to one wicket before a batsman has crossed the crease line near the wicket. Big Bash League
The Big Bash League (known as the KFC Big Bash League for sponsorship reasons, often abbreviated to BBL or Big Bash) is an Australian professional club Twenty20 cricket league, which was established in 2011 by Cricket Australia. The Big Bash League replaced the previous competition, the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash, and features eight city-based franchises instead of the six state teams which had participated previously. The competition has been sponsored by fast food-chicken outlet KFC since its inception.
