Scientology Network is an American television network and streaming service launched by the Church of Scientology on March 12, 2018. The channel is available on DirecTV Channel 320, DirecTV Stream, AT&T U-verse, the website Scientology.tv, Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and through iOS and Android apps. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. WFTT-TV (channel 62) is a religious television station licensed to Venice, Florida, United States, serving the Tampa Bay area. Owned by Entravision Communications, the station maintains transmitter facilities in Riverview, Florida. Despite Venice being WFTT-TV's city of license, the station maintains no physical presence there. History The station first signed on the air in 1988 as WBHS on channel 50 (a "-TV" suffix was added to the call letters in 1992), serving as the flagship station of the Home Shopping Network (HSN). Scientology is a set of beliefs and practices invented by American author L. Ron Hubbard, and an associated movement. It has been variously defined as a cult, a Scientology as a business, business, or a new religious movement. The most recent published census data indicate that there were about 25,000 followers in the United States (in 2008); around 1,800 followers in England (2021); 1,400 in Canada (2021); and about 1,600 in Australia (2016). There are a number of disputes concerning the Church of Scientology's attempts to suppress material critical of Scientology on the Internet, utilizing various methods primarily lawsuits and legal threats, as well as front organizations. KCET Studios
The KCET Studios, located at 4401 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California is the longest continuously-producing studio in Hollywood. Since its establishment in 1912, the studios located at the site have been the home of motion picture producers, including Lubin, Essanay, Willis and Inglis, J.D. David Miscavige
David Miscavige (; born April 30, 1960) is the leader of the Church of Scientology and, according to the organization, "Captain of the Sea Org". His official title within the organization is Chairman of the Board of the Religious Technology Center (RTC), a corporation that controls the trademarks and copyrights of Dianetics and Scientology. Miscavige was a deputy to Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as a teenager.
