He then left the two-seater reconnaissance unit for a posting to ''Reihenbildzug'' (Special Photographic Unit) 9, to fly long photo recon missions. While serving with this unit in Kingdom of Romania, Romania, he was credited with destroying an observation balloon northwest of Păunești on 7 September 1917. Eva Watson-Schütze (September 16, 1867 – 1935) was an American photographer who was one of the founding members of the Photo-Secession. Life She was born as Eva Lawrence Watson in Jersey City, New Jersey on September 16, 1867. Her parents were Dr. John and Mary Lawrence Watson, whose family had come from Scotland. She was the youngest of four children, but little else is known about her family or early childhood. In 1883, when she was sixteen, she enrolled in the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, where she studied under well-known painter and photographer Thomas Eakins. Her interests at that time were watercolor and oil painting, and it’s unknown if she took any interests in Eakins’ photography. Johann Friedrich Schütze, pseudonym: ''Jäger'', (1758–1810) was a German author. Life Schütze was born on 1 April 1758 in Altona near Hamburg in the Duchy of Holstein. He was the son of Gottfried Schütze. He attended the Gelehrtenschule des Johanneums, the school where his father taught. From 1780 to 1783 he studied law at the University of Kiel and University of Leipzig and subsequently lived as a gentleman in Hamburg. In 1793 he was appointed as secretary to the chancellery (''Kanzleisekretär'') and in 1797 as the successor to Heinrich Wilhelm von Gerstenberg in the post of General Administrator of the Lotto in Altona. Johann Wilhelm Schütze (September 1807, Hamburg – 24 July 1878, Berlin) was a German painter and art professor. His birth year is sometimes given as 1814, and the place as Berlin. He has often been confused with , a painter from Munich. Life and work His first art lessons were in Berlin, with . From 1847 to 1848, he worked with Carl Eggers, creating frescoes designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, in the hallway at the Altes Museum. Later, he was a professor at the Royal School of Art. He was especially successful as a painter of genre scenes, from the lives of the rural farmers; with a preference for naïve, youthful characters. Lars Schütze (born 1974 in Erfurt) is a German politician from Thuringia. Previously representing the Alternative for Germany and Citizens for Thuringia, he has been an independent politician since 2022. Life Schütze completed training as a police officer. He has been working for the Federal Police (Germany), Federal Police since 1991. In the 2019 Thuringian state election, Schütze was elected as a member of the Landtag of Thuringia for the AfD as a direct candidate in the Unstrut-Hainich-Kreis II constituency with 27.3 percent of the vote. Schütze is married, has five children and lives in Thuringia. Schütze was expelled from the AfD parliamentary group in the Thuringian state parliament in October 2021. Paul Schütze (born 1 May 1958) is an Australian artist resident in London. Over thirty years his work has spanned composition, performance, installation, video, printmaking and photography. Biography Schütze was born in Melbourne, Australia. He spent his childhood painting and drawing but left Caulfield Institute after only two months of an Arts Foundation Course to work in a factory. There he earned the money to buy his first electronic musical equipment. In 1979 he spent several months travelling and ended up in London where he immersed himself in concerts, museums and galleries. Returning to Melbourne he formed the improvising group Laughing Hands with Gordon Harvey, Ian Russell and Paul Widdicombe. The group existed in several forms until disbanding in 1982. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves of Nazi Germany. Schütze was born in Flensburg, and started his naval career in the ''Reichsmarine'' aboard German torpedo boats in April 1925, before transferring to the new U-boat division ten years later in October 1935. There he commanded for two years, before being relieved to take destroyer training - before returning to the U-boat arm in command of . When war broke out he commanded , with which he sailed on three patrols, mainly in the Bay of Biscay and off the Portuguese coast.
