Schweigmatt
Schweigmatt is a Hamlet (place), hamlet located in the southern Black Forest of Germany at an altitude of 780 metres. It belongs to the village of Raitbach and is part of the municipality of Schopfheim in the district of Lörrach (district), Lörrach. Schweigmatt lies beneath the 985 m peak of the Hohe Möhr, from which it is possible to see as far as the Swiss Alps and Jura Mountains across the Rhine River. This hamlet was first mentioned in documents in 1113, but gained international recognition only recently as the birthplace of actress Q'orianka Kilcher. Hohe Möhr
The Hohe Möhr is a mountain, , in the Black Forest near Schopfheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Tower On the Hohe Möhr is the roughly 30-metre-high Hohe Möhr Tower, an observation tower built by the Black Forest Club in 1924. In addition, the broadcaster, SWR, operates a VHF transmitter at , which uses a 77-metre-high, free-standing steel lattice tower. The observation platform is about 25 metres above the ground, that is at a height of about , and, in good weather, has a very good view of the chain of the Swiss Alps, the Jura and the Vosges. There are also views of the Wiese, Rhine and Wehra valleys, the Hotzenwald and of course the mountains of the Black Forest. Access The best route is from the Schweigmatt over the southern mountainside of the Hohe Möhr. There is a car park at the Schweigmatt swimming pool. Q'orianka Kilcher
Q'orianka Waira Qoiana Kilcher (; born February 11, 1990) is an American actress, singer, and activist. Her best known film roles are Pocahontas in Terrence Malick's 2005 film ''The New World'', and Kaʻiulani in ''Princess Kaiulani'' (2009). In 2020 she starred in a recurring role on the Paramount Network show, Yellowstone. Early life Kilcher was born in Schweigmatt, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany. Her name ''Q'orianka'' means "Golden Eagle" in Quechua. Her father is of Quechua– Huachipaeri background from Peru, while her mother, Saskia Kilcher, is an American human rights activist of Swiss-German origin. When Kilcher was two, she and her mother moved to Kapaʻa, Hawaii, US, where her brother Kainoa was born. Her father, from whom she is estranged, was absent for much of her life. Black Forest
The Black Forest (german: Schwarzwald ) is a large forested mountain range in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, bounded by the Rhine Valley to the west and south and close to the borders with France and Switzerland. It is the source of the Danube and Neckar rivers. Its highest peak is the Feldberg with an elevation of above sea level. Lörrach is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and Waldshut. To the west it borders the French ''département'' Haut-Rhin; to the south the Swiss cantons Basel-Stadt, Basel-Landschaft and Aargau. History In 1973 part of the district Müllheim and small parts of the district Säckingen were added to the district, which enlarged the district by about 25% to the current size. Geography The north-east of the district is part of the ''Hochschwarzwald'', the highest part of the Black Forest.
