Alice Sophie Schwarzer (born 3 December 1942) is a German journalist and prominent feminist. She is founder and publisher of the German feminist journal '' EMMA''. Beginning in France, she became a forerunner of feminist positions against anti-abortion laws, for economic self-sufficiency for women, against pornography, prostitution, female genital mutilation, and for a fair position of women in Islam. She authored many books, including biographies of Romy Schneider, Marion Dönhoff and herself. Christian "Blacky" Schwarzer (born 23 October 1969) is a now-retired professional German handball player and present-day coach. As a member of the Germany men's national handball team, he won the world championship in 2007 and the silver medal at the 2004 Olympics. Born in Braunschweig, Schwarzer played for VfL Fredenbeck from 1987 to 1991; Schwarzer's first game for the German national handball team was on 21 November 1989, against the German Democratic Republic in Wilhelmshaven. Johann Schwarzer (30 August 1880 – 10 October 1914) was an Austrian photographer and pioneer producer of adult films through his Saturn-Film ( de) company. Schwarzer was born in Javornik, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and now located in the Czech Republic. Career In the early 1900s, Schwarzer resettled in Vienna and became a portrait and family photographer and chemist. To supplement his income, Schwarzer began making erotic photos which were used on naughty postcards common to the era. In 1906, he became interested in the men's-only theatre nights organized in Austrian cinemas that showed adult films, so-called ''Herrenabende'' ("night shows for men"). Mark Schwarzer (; born 6 October 1972) is an Australian former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. He represented Australia at international level from 1993 to 2013, and was selected for both the 2006 and 2010 FIFA World Cups. Mitchell Schwarzer is a historian who writes on architecture and the built environment. He is Professor of Architectural and Urban History in the Department of the History of Art and Visual Culture at California College of the Arts. His wife Marjorie is a professor of museum studies. William W. Schwarzer (April 30, 1925 – January 28, 2017) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
