School Of International Relations
The School of International Relations (or SIR) ( fa, دانشکده روابط بینالملل وزارت امور خارجه) is an institute of higher education in Iran. The school trains an international student body, and is run by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under the supervision of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. More than 750 of the school's graduates have held diplomatic and government positions inside and outside Iran. SIR houses the Iranian Diplomatic Training Center (DTC) who trains domestic as well as foreign young diplomats. The DTC has trained more than 1000 diplomats from 60 nations. Professors of this school are mostly among the famous Iranian diplomats, mostly working in international organizations such as UN or in Embassies around the world. Iranian Ministry Of Science, Research And Technology
The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) is the government ministry of science, research and technology in the Islamic Republic of Iran. State-run (non-medical) universities of Iran are under the direct supervision of Iran's Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The ministry was established in 2000 when the ministry of culture and higher education was renamed as the ministry of science, research and technology. In 2000 the ministry set up the Aerospace Research Institute. The supervision of higher education institutions and the approval of the study programmes, as well as the accreditation of universities and other higher education institutions are conducted by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. Mohammad Javad Zarif
Mohammad Javad Zarif Khansari ( fa, محمدجواد ظریف خوانساری, Mohammad-Javād Zarīf Khānsāri ; ; born 8 January 1960) is an Iranian career diplomat and academic. He was the foreign minister of Iran from 2013 until 2021 in the government of Hassan Rouhani. During his tenure as foreign minister, he led the Iranian negotiation with P5+1 countries which produced the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on 14 July 2015, lifting the economic sanctions against Iran on 16 January 2016. On 25 February 2019, Zarif resigned from his post as foreign minister. His resignation was rejected by Ali Khamenei and he continued as foreign minister. Iason Athanasiadis is a writer, photographer, political analyst, and television producer who has contributed to a range of media, including the BBC, Al Jazeera English, and Channel 4. He specializes in the Middle East. Information A graduate of Oxford University, Iason has written for the Christian Science Monitor, the Financial Times, the International Herald Tribune, the Sunday Telegraph, The Guardian, the Toronto Star, the Spectator, Newsweek, the Washington Times, the Athens News, and Australia's leading current affairs magazine The Diplomat. He was a Nieman Fellow at Harvard University from 2007 to 2008. He was detained in Tehran on 17 June 2009, in the course of his reporting on the disputed Iranian elections. Abbas Araghchi
Seyed Abbas Araghchi ( fa, سید عباس عراقچی, ; born 5 December 1962 in Tehran) is an Iranian diplomat who is the former political deputy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran from 2017 to 2021. He previously held office as the Deputy for Asia–Pacific and the Commonwealth Affairs and Legal and International Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran. He served as Iran's chief nuclear negotiator in talks with the P5+1, in Hassan Rouhani's government. Araghchi entered the Foreign Ministry in 1989. In early 1990s, he served as chargé d'affaires of the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Organization of Islamic Conference, based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
