Müggelheim
Müggelheim () is a German locality (''Ortsteil'') within the Berlin borough (''Bezirk'') of Treptow-Köpenick. Until 2001 it was part of the former borough of Köpenick. History The village was founded on June 1, 1747, by 20 families from Odernheim am Glan, in Rhineland-Palatinate. By 1920 it was still an autonomous municipality, the lesser-populated one (186 inhabitants) merging into the German capital with the " Greater Berlin Act". Geography Overview Müggelheim, surrounded by the Berliner Stadtforst, lies in the southeastern suburbs of Berlin, at the borders with the Brandenburg municipalities of Erkner and Gosen-Neu Zittau, Oder-Spree district. Dahme (river)
The Dahme is a river that flows through the German states of Brandenburg and Berlin. It is a left bank tributary of the River Spree and is approximately long. Course The source of the Dahme is near the eponymous town Dahme. The river flows north through the towns of Märkisch Buchholz and Prieros. At Märkisch Buchholz the river is joined by the Dahme Flood Relief Canal that diverts water from the upper reaches of the River Spree at Leibsch. At Prieros the Dahme is joined by two tributaries, the Storkower Gewässer on the right bank and the Teupitzer Gewässer on the left bank. Both of these tributaries comprise a chain of linked lakes. North of Prieros the Dahme flows through a number of lakes, including the Dolgenzee, Krüpelsee and Krimnicksee before reaching the city of Königs Wusterhausen. The Berlin tramway (german: Straßenbahn Berlin) is the main tram system in Berlin, Germany. It is one of the oldest tram networks in the world having its origins in 1865 and is operated by (BVG), which was founded in 1929. Köpenick
Köpenick () is a historic town and locality (''Ortsteil'') in Berlin, situated at the confluence of the rivers Dahme and Spree in the south-east of the German capital. It was formerly known as Copanic and then Cöpenick, only officially adopting the current spelling in 1931. It is also known for the famous imposter '' Hauptmann von Köpenick''. Langer See
The Langer See is a lake situated in the south-eastern outskirts of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. The lake is aligned south-east to north-west and forms part of the course of the River Dahme. The Langer See is approximately long, with an average width of and an area of . The Dahme flows into the Langer See from the Zeuthener See, at the south-east end of the lake by the Berlin suburb of Schmöckwitz. The Seddinsee is a lake in the south-eastern outskirts of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. The lake is aligned south-west to north-east, with its south-western end adjacent to the Berlin suburb of Schmöckwitz.
