''Schizocephala'' is a genus of praying mantises in the monotypic tribe Schizocephalini. It is represented by a single species, ''Schizocephala bicornis''. It is distributed across Pakistan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Sunda Islands. Eremiaphilidae
Eremiaphilidae is a small Old World family of praying mantids, based on the type genus '' Eremiaphila''. As part of a major revision of mantid taxonomy, this family now contains the subfamily Tarachodinae, which includes tribes and genera previously placed in the now obsolete Tarachodidae. The new placement means that this taxon is characteristic of the superfamily Eremiaphiloidea (of group Cernomantodea) and infraorder Schizomantodea. Jean Guillaume Audinet-Serville
Jean Guillaume Audinet-Serville (; his name, before the French Revolution, Revolution, included a Nobiliary particle, particle: Audinet de Serville) was a French entomologist, born on 11 November 1775 in Paris. He died on 27 March 1858 in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre. He was introduced to entomology by Madame de Grostête-Tigny who was fascinated, like her husband, by chemistry and insects. Through her, Audinet-Serville met Pierre André Latreille (1762–1833). Latreille worked with him on the ''Dictionnaire des Insectes de l’Encyclopédie méthodique'' ("The Methodical Encyclopedia Dictionary of Insects"). Then, working with Guillaume-Antoine Olivier (1756–1814), he finished the book ''Faune française'' ("French Fauna") in 1830. Audinet-Serville is particularly known for his work on the Orthoptera. Carl Linnaeus (; 23 May 1707 – 10 January 1778), also known after his ennoblement in 1761 as Carl von Linné Blunt (2004), p. 171. The 10th edition of ''Systema Naturae'' is a book written by Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus and published in two volumes in 1758 and 1759, which marks the starting point of zoological nomenclature. Mantis
Mantises are an order (Mantodea) of insects that contains over 2,400 species in about 460 genera in 33 families. The largest family is the Mantidae ("mantids"). Mantises are distributed worldwide in temperate and tropical habitats. They have triangular heads with bulging eyes supported on flexible necks.
