Dafne Schippers (; born 15 June 1992) is a Dutch track and field athlete. She competes primarily in the sprints, having previously participated in the heptathlon. She is the 2015 and 2017 World Champion and won silver at the 2016 Summer Olympics in the 200 metres. Schippers holds the European record in the 200 m with a time of 21.63 s and is the 6th-fastest woman of all time at this distance. She holds the national record in the 100 m and is co-record holder in the 4 × 100 m relay. Edith Ingeborg Schippers (born 25 August 1964) is a retired Dutch politician of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) and businesswoman serving as President of the DSM Company since 1 February 2019. Daniela Schippers (born 28 March 1995) is a Guatemalan former tennis player. On the ITF Junior Circuit, Schippers has a career-high combined ranking of 213, achieved on 23 January 2012. Willem Schippers (April 4, 1867 - Dordrecht, June 11, 1954) was a Dutch factory worker and writer who published over 45 Christian children's books and family novels during his lifetime. Biography Schippers was born in Groote Lindt in Zwijndrecht, the youngest son of a mailman. He worked initially as a blacksmith's boy in a forge in a village on the river Maas. Schippers then worked for five years in a machine factory, then later in a large factory in Dordrecht, as a metal turner. In the evening after work, Schippers would write the stories he imagined during the work day. He gained inspiration from his surroundings and the people around him. Schippers found that writing helped him rest after the heavy work. Schippers wrote his first book (title unknown) at age 33. In 1907, he published ''The Poacher'' and other titles. Thomas Schippers (9 March 1930 – 16 December 1977) was an American conductor. He was highly regarded for his work in opera. Biography Of Dutch ancestry and son of the owner of a large appliance store, Schippers was born in Portage, Michigan. He began playing piano at age four. After graduating from high school at age 13, he attended the Curtis Institute and the Juilliard School. Schippers made his debut at the New York City Opera at age twenty-one, and the Metropolitan Opera at twenty-five. David Philip Schippers Jr. (November 4, 1929 – September 28, 2018) was an American lawyer from Chicago, Illinois. He received his bachelor's and law degrees from Loyola University Chicago. His most notable cases include prosecuting Sam Giancana, as well as being the chief investigative counsel during the Clinton Impeachment trial. He became a public figure when a friend of his, Congressman Henry Hyde, asked him to be the chief investigative counsel for the House Judiciary Committee. The committee was holding an inquiry into whether President Bill Clinton had committed impeachable offenses in his handling of the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit, during which he committed perjury regarding his affair with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
