It was recorded in Berlin, Stockholm, London and New York City and was produced by Alex Silva and Herbert Grönemeyer, like the previous album '' 12''. and every album since Bleibt alles anders in 1998. The album reached the top spot in the German, Austrian, and Swiss charts, as well as #34 in the Netherlands. The title track also became the lead single; it peaked at #10 in Germany, #33 in Austria and #45 in Switzerland. Herbert Arthur Wiglev Clamor Grönemeyer (born 12 April 1956) is a German singer, musician, producer, composer and actor, popular in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Grönemeyer starred as war correspondent Lieutenant Werner in Wolfgang Petersen's 1981 film ''Das Boot'', but later focused on his musical career. His fifth album '' 4630 Bochum'' (1984) and his 11th album ''Mensch'' (2002) are the third and first best-selling records in Germany respectively, making Grönemeyer the most successful artist in Germany with combined album sales over 13 million. Early life Grönemeyer was born on 12 April 1956 in Göttingen. He often refers to his personal roots as living in Bochum though, where he spent most of his childhood, youth and early adulthood. It was recorded between 2006 and 2007 in London and was produced by Alex Silva and Herbert Grönemeyer. Hansa Tonstudio is a recording studio located in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, Germany. The studio, famous for its Meistersaal recording hall, is situated approximately 150 metres from the former Berlin Wall, giving rise to its former nicknames of "Hansa Studio by the Wall" or "Hansa by the Wall". The Meistersaal has been fully restored and is now used for concerts and other events as well as recording. History The studio was originally built in 1913 as a guildhall for the Berlin Builder’s Society and was later used as a cabaret and chamber music concert hall during the Weimar era. Abbey Road Studios (formerly EMI Recording Studios) is a recording studio at 3 Abbey Road, St John's Wood, City of Westminster, London, England.
