Ernst Scheller (18 July 1899 in Lintel (East Frisia) – 16 January 1942 in Simferopol) was a German Nazi Hauptmann and politician. Life and work Scheller was appointed mayor of Marburg in 27.4.1934 by Adolf Hitler and fought on the Eastern Front during World War II. He was injured on 29 December 1941 in battle and died 18 days later on a lazaret in Simferopol. Friedrich Ernst Scheller (15 November 1791 – 21 December 1869) was a German jurist and politician. He served as a member of the Frankfurt Parliament. Scheller studied jurisprudence at the University of Göttingen from 1809 until 1813 and graduated as a lawyer. The following year, he became a judge in Aachen, a job he carried out until 1816, when he became president of the Krefeld courts of justice. Further work took Scheller to Halberstadt and Berlin, and later to Frankfurt (Oder) Frankfurt (Oder), also known as Frankfurt an der Oder (), is a city in the German state of Brandenburg. It has around 57,000 inhabitants, is one of the easternmost cities in Germany, the fourth-largest city in Brandenburg, and the largest German ....
