Scar
A scar (or scar tissue) is an area of fibrous tissue that replaces normal skin after an injury. Scars result from the biological process of wound repair in the skin, as well as in other organs, and tissues of the body. Thus, scarring is a natural part of the healing process. With the exception of very minor lesions, every wound (e.g., after accident, disease, or surgery) results in some degree of scarring. An exception to this are animals with complete regeneration, which regrow tissue without scar formation. Scar tissue is composed of the same protein ( collagen) as the tissue that it replaces, but the fiber composition of the protein is different; instead of a random basketweave formation of the collagen fibers found in normal tissue, in fibrosis the collagen cross-links and forms a pronounced alignment in a single direction. This collagen scar tissue alignment is usually of inferior functional quality to the normal collagen randomised alignment. For example, scars in the s ...

Experiments With Violence In Gujarat
An experiment is a procedure carried out to support or refute a hypothesis, or determine the efficacy or likelihood of something previously untried. Experiments provide insight into cause-and-effect by demonstrating what outcome occurs when a particular factor is manipulated. Experiments vary greatly in goal and scale but always rely on repeatable procedure and logical analysis of the results. There also exist natural experimental studies. A child may carry out basic experiments to understand how things fall to the ground, while teams of scientists may take years of systematic investigation to advance their understanding of a phenomenon. Experiments and other types of hands-on activities are very important to student learning in the science classroom. Experiments can raise test scores and help a student become more engaged and interested in the material they are learning, especially when used over time. Experiments can vary from personal and informal natural comparisons ...

Monica Dickens
Monica Enid Dickens, MBE (10 May 1915 – 25 December 1992) was an English writer, the great-granddaughter of Charles Dickens. Biography Known as "Monty" to her family and friends, she was born into an upper-middle-class London family to Henry Charles Dickens (1878–1966), a barrister, and Fanny Dickens (née Runge). She was the granddaughter of Sir Henry Fielding Dickens KC. Disillusioned with the world she was brought up in – she was expelled from St Paul's Girls' School in London for throwing her school uniform into the Thames before she was presented at court as a debutante – she decided to go into domestic service despite coming from the privileged class; her experiences as a cook and general servant would form the nucleus of her first book, ''One Pair of Hands'' in 1939. ''One Pair of Feet'' (1942) recounted her work as a nurse, and subsequently she worked in an aircraft factory and on the ''Hertfordshire Express'' – a local newspaper in Hitchin; her experiences i ...

The Scarred
The Scarred is an American former garage punk band from Anaheim, California, formed in 2003, on the East Coast-based label Jailhouse Records. Formed by Samuel Clemens, they are one of the only old school punk bands active from Anaheim, and known for bridging the sound between 1970s punk rock, soul, and classic rock. History The Scarred formed in 2003 by Justin "Scarred" Willits, Matt "Monkey" Hatcher, Isha Rose and Jordan Thompson. The three had been in bands before and quickly set to work playing live shows with such Punk Rock notables as Naked Aggression, The Adicts, Menace, Cheap Sex, The Skeptix, and more. After starting a family, Isha stepped down and was replaced by Ben 9000, drummer of other notable bands such as Rezurex and Jeffree Star. ''Repression'' The band recorded a demo in the back room of a radio station, and sent it out to underground fanzines, where it quickly received good reviews, including California's legendary MRR. Capitalizing on their good reviews, th ...

Scarred (album)
The following is a comprehensive discography of Gary Numan, a British singer and musician. Numan (born Gary Webb, 1958) released his first record in 1978 as part of the outfit Tubeway Army. Initially unsuccessful, the band scored a huge hit in 1979 with the single "Are Friends Electric" and their second album ''Replicas'', both of which reached number one in the UK. Numan then decided to release further recordings under his own name, beginning with the single " Cars" later in 1979. Both this and the subsequent album '' The Pleasure Principle'' also reached number one in the UK, and Numan became a leading force in the British electronic music scene. He scored a third number one album in 1980 with '' Telekon'', and more hit singles and albums until the mid 1980s when his popularity waned. Despite this, he has continued to record and tour on a regular basis up to the present day. His 2017 studio album, ''Savage (Songs from a Broken World)'', entered the UK Albums Chart at no. 2, whi ...

Awake (Dream Theater Album)
''Awake'' is the third studio album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released on October 4, 1994, through East West Records. It is the final Dream Theater album to feature original keyboardist Kevin Moore, who announced his decision to leave the band during the mixing process of the album. Much of the material for ''Awake'' was written in writing sessions between February and April 1994, during which Dream Theater were under pressure from their record label to produce an album as successful as '' Images and Words'' (1992) with a single similar to "Pull Me Under". The label wanted the band to produce a more metal-oriented album, hoping it would be easier to market. John Purdell and Duane Baron produced, engineered and mixed the album. The album's cover, designed by the band, features numerous references to the album's lyrics. Released at the height of the popularity of grunge music, ''Awake'' initially received mixed reviews, though the album was later referred ...

The Dark Saga
''The Dark Saga'' is the fourth studio album by American heavy metal band Iced Earth. Released on May 20, 1996, it was the band's first album to feature drummer Mark Prator, as well as the last with bassist Dave Abell and lead guitarist Randall Shawver. ''The Dark Saga'' was also the first Iced Earth album to be co-produced by Jim Morris, who since then has worked on all of the band's releases. Recorded in early 1996, ''The Dark Saga'' is a concept album based on the Todd McFarlane comic book character Spawn (who also appears on the album's cover). Because of this, the album features a much more melodic and simplified sound compared to other Iced Earth albums. While the response to ''The Dark Saga'' was mostly positive, some viewed these musical changes as a disappointment. Writing and recording Musically ''The Dark Saga'' is much more melodic and simplified compared to Iced Earth's previous albums (majority of the songs on ''The Dark Saga'' are under four minutes long). Scarred (film)
''Scarred'' is a 1984 independent film directed by Rose Marie Turko and starring Jennifer Mayo, Jackie Berryman, David Dean, and Rico L. Richardson. Plot Shot in a cinéma vérité style, perhaps because this film about teenage prostitution began as a project while director Rose-Marie Turko was a student at UCLA, the format tends to hit home better than a more artificial approach. Although starting out as a story about how young Ruby Star (Jennifer Mayo) was forced into prostitution in order to support herself and her baby, the film quickly dips into the seamier side of life after Ruby meets a pimp nicknamed Easy (David Dean) and gets involved with a demi-monde of degenerates. Cast and crew Directed by: Rose Marie Turko Starring: Jennifer Mayo, Jackie Berryman, David Dean, Rico L. Richardson Soundtrack Audio Producers - Ed Stasium, Liam Sterngberg, Mark Goldenberg, Fred Mollin, Dennis Peters. Recorded in Los Angeles, California at Westlake Studios, Soundcatsle Studio, Davlen S ...
