Scallywagga
''Scallywagga'' is a British comedy sketch show, written by Stuart Kenworthy, who has worked on Green Wing and Smack the Pony. The executive producer of series one was Kenton Allen, and the producer was Jon Montague. The pilot episode aired on 21 March 2007 when the show was known as ''Spacehopper''. Sally Lindsey confirmed on ''The Paul O'Grady Show'' that there would be a second series which was also filmed in and around Manchester, bringing on board a new Director (David Sant) and new Producer (Kristian Smith) and several cast changes. The first series was broadcast on TV in 2008 and the DVD was released in early 2010 along with series 1. Series 2 began broadcasting on Tuesday 23 February 2010. Scallywag (magazine)
''Scallywag'' magazine was published in London between 1991 and 1995. The subtitle of issues 1 - 6 was "Camden's only alternative community magazine". It sought to publish controversial journalism which other satirical and investigative publications (such as ''Private Eye'') were said to be unwilling to publish over fears of litigation. It was founded and edited by Simon Regan and Angus James, Regan's half-brother. A previous version was published in Dorset, and the first issue of the 'Camden Scallywag' says that the Dorset version was then "on edition 37". Scallywags (Second World War)
The Auxiliary Units or GHQ Auxiliary Units were specially-trained, highly-secret quasi military units created by the British government during the Second World War with the aim of using irregular warfare in response to a possible invasion of the United Kingdom by Nazi Germany, " Operation Sea Lion". With the advantage of having witnessed the rapid fall of several Continental European nations, the United Kingdom was the only country during the war that was able to create a multilayered guerrilla force in anticipation of an invasion. The Auxiliary Units would fight as uniformed guerrillas during the military campaign. In the event of an invasion, all Auxiliary Units would disappear into their operational bases and would not maintain contact with local Home Guard commanders, who were to be wholly unaware of their existence.
