Says You!
''Says You!'' is a word game quiz show that airs weekly in the United States on public radio stations. Richard Sher created the show in 1996 with the guiding philosophy: "It's not important to KNOW the answers: it's important to LIKE the answers." Recorded in front of live audiences in theaters around the United States, the show is produced in Boston, Massachusetts. Its format, emphasis on witty repartee, and its tagline—"a game of bluff and bluster, words and whimsy"—are reminiscent of the similarly long-running BBC program ''My Word!'' (1956–1990). Season 21 of ''Says You!'' marked the show's 500th episode. Following the death of Richard Sher on February 9, 2015, original panelist Barry Nolan took over as host for two years, before returning to his seat as a panelist in early 2017. Firesign Theatre
The Firesign Theatre (also known as the Firesigns) was an American surreal comedy troupe who first appeared on November 17, 1966, in a live performance on the Los Angeles radio program ''Radio Free Oz'' on station KPFK FM. They continued appearing on ''Radio Free Oz'', which later moved to KRLA 1110 AM and then KMET FM, through February 1969. They produced fifteen record albums and a 45 rpm single under contract to Columbia Records from 1967 through 1976, and had three nationally syndicated radio programs: ''The Firesign Theatre Radio Hour Hour'' icin 1970 on KPPC-FM; and '' Dear Friends'' (1970–1971) and ''Let's Eat!'' Phil Proctor
Philip Proctor (born 1940) is an American actor, comedian and a member of the Firesign Theatre. He has performed voice-over work for video games, films and television series. Career Of the four members of Firesign Theatre, Proctor has had the greatest amount of mainstream exposure as an actor. A boy soprano in his youth, he worked extensively in musical theatre, including numerous juvenile female roles in productions of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas. In his early adult career, he worked in musical theatre on Broadway, the West Coast and in touring productions. Garland Waller
Garland Waller is a documentary film producer and an assistant professor at Boston University in the College of Communications Department of Television and Film. She began making documentaries while working at WBZ-TV in the 1980s, including ''Rape: An Act of Hate'', narrated and hosted by Veronica Hamel.
