Gary Dean Sawyer (born 5 July 1985) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. He started his career at Plymouth Argyle, and in-between spells at Home Park has also played for Leyton Orient, Weymouth, Exeter City, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers before ending his career back at Plymouth Argyle. Upon finishing his career at Plymouth, Gary joined local North Devon Football League team, Park United. Joe Sawyer (born Joseph Sauers, August 29, 1906 – April 21, 1982) was a Canadian film actor. He appeared in more than 200 films between 1927 and 1962, and was sometimes billed under his birth name. Early life Sawyer was born August 29, 1906 as ''Joseph Sauers'' in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. His parents were German. In his 20s he went to Los Angeles to pursue a career in films. Early life and high school career Sawyer grew up in Pickerington, Ohio Where he Attended St. Pius K-8 Catholic school. Ivy Sawyer (February 13, 1897 – November 16, 1999) was a British-born American cabaret and ballroom dancer, singer, and stage actress. The London-born Sawyer danced professionally with John Jarrot until she met and married fellow dancer/actor Joseph Santley. Hiram Wilson Sawyer
Hiram Wilson Sawyer (June 11, 1843September 14, 1922) was an American lawyer, Democratic politician, and Wisconsin pioneer. He was the first mayor of Hartford, Wisconsin, and was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing southern Washington County in the 1873 and 1874 sessions. He was also the Democratic nominee for Governor of Wisconsin in 1898, but lost the election. Biography Hiram Wilson Sawyer was born June 11, 1843, at North Haverhill, New Hampshire. He came with his parents to the Wisconsin Territory in 1846, settling on a farm in the town of Burnett in Dodge County. Hiram Sawyer (August 24, 1814November 24, 1888) was an American stonecutter, farmer, and Wisconsin pioneer. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Dodge County in the 1866 session. Biography Hiram Sawyer was born Orford, New Hampshire, in August 1814. He was raised and received a basic education until age 15, when he went to work as an apprentice stonecutter. He followed that profession for 15 years until switching to agricultural work. In 1845, he went west to the Wisconsin Territory to prospect for land. He purchased a tract of land in what is now the town of Burnett, Wisconsin, in Dodge County; he brought his wife and children to live on the farm the following year. This farm was his primary residence for the rest of his life. Admiral Sir Herbert Sawyer KCB ( fl. 1783–1833) was an officer of the Royal Navy who saw service during the American Revolution, the French Revolutionary War, the War of 1812 and the Napoleonic Wars. Herbert Sawyer (c. 1730 – 4 June 1798) was an officer of the Royal Navy who saw service during the Seven Years' War, the American War of Independence and the French Revolutionary Wars. Harry William Sawyer (June 4, 1880 – May 2, 1962) was an American physician and politician. Sawyer was born in New York City, New York. He served in the United States Navy from 1902 to 1906. He went to the College of Osteopath in Kansas City, Missouri and to the College of Physicians and Surgeons in San Francisco, California. He received his medical degree on Feb. 21 1919 in the state of Texas.Sawyer practiced medicine in Twin Falls, Idaho and in Fallon, Nevada. He served as health officer for Churchill County, Nevada and as draft board physician for Churchill County. Sawyer also served as president of the Nevada Medical Association in 1938 and 1939.
